Good news for those who go to Eagle Pond - the council have agreed to pop back the enclosed bin as the new one was adding to the litter in the area :)

Part two: X3 bags collected. Thank you again to the other volunteer :)

Unfortunately our local pond has completely dried out to the point it's a cracked, dry barren bed. Managed to pick all of the litter from it including X3 phones and there's also some shoes if anyone has had them nicked!

Very disappointed to find SO MANY cigarette ends chucked next to an EXCEPTIONALLY DRY forest?! Seriously....

Cigarette ends have got plastic in them. Apart from their capacity to set the forest on fire right now, they don't degrade but leave the filter (see pics) when the paper and filter has fallen off.

Thanks everyone and to the two impromptu pickers who joined us in Wanstead! Amazing!

- 6 bags total (3 either side). Cans bottles...stuff people leave and don't take home with them
- Absolutely horrified to see this police sign up about harming our wildlife. Absolutely despicable behaviour :( Please keep vigilant

Just a few photos of the litter we've collected over the years. I dread to think what the forest would look like if it wasn't for volunteers going regularly to collect it all up (Well, I do - it would look like a landfill).

⏳Do as much as you feel. If you only want to or can manage half an hour that's absolutely fine 🫡

🚮 Equipment provided. Just bring your own water/hat/sunscreen/determination
