The Warm Home Discount is a one-off payment, designed to make the cost of winter energy a bit easier if you're living on a low income or pension.

To qualify for the discount for winter 2026/2027, you or your partner must have an account with a participating electricity supplier and, on 23 August 2026, must be claiming one of the following:

🔵 the Guarantee Credit or Savings Credit element of Pension Credit

🔵 Housing Benefit or

🔵 Universal Credit

For most eligible customers, the discount should be automatically applied to your electricity account between October 2026 and March 2027. You should receive a letter confirming your eligibility.

As always, it's important to be scam aware. Be wary of any texts, calls or emails that ask for your details in order to receive the discount.
