A message of solidarity with Anthony Joshua

On behalf of myself and the entire London’s Community Kitchen (LCK) team, we are sending our thoughts, prayers, and full support to Anthony during this difficult time.

Anthony has been a genuine friend and long-standing supporter of our work. Beyond his achievements in sport, what defines him is his character — the quiet charity work he carries out across the world, including here in West Hertfordshire, done without headlines or expectation. That humility speaks volumes.

To many he is a world champion. To those who know him, he is a people’s champion — grounded, compassionate, and driven by purpose.

As he focuses on recovery, our thoughts are also with the families and loved ones affected by this tragic moment. We stand with you, AJ.

This evening, we had the privilege of being invited back to the amazing Cord restaurant on Fleet Street for the finals of the 2025 Cook-Off.

The incredibleFleet Street Quarter organized a fantastic event at Cord for the competition.

A big thank you to Square Mile Farms for supplying the fresh herbs, all grown locally in Fleet Street as part of The Urban Farmer project.

Congratulations to all eight finalists! Our esteemed judges—Lisa Jenkins CFSP, Lady Lucy French OBE, Taz Khan MBE, and Lulu Grimes—had a tough job selecting the winner.

A special thanks to Sophia Ives for her wonderful hospitality, as always!

Mid-January is here, and Christmas feels like a distant memory. The chilly weather has brought along its share of colds and flu, but that hasn’t stopped the incredible spirit of our Friday surplus market in Harrow.

As always, people patiently line up outside, unsure of what we’ll have for them, and our amazing volunteers rise to the occasion every single time. A huge thank you to each of you for showing up with your wonderful smiles, ready to serve and brighten someone else’s day.

We’re truly grateful for our fantastic volunteers and for the incredible support from The Felix Projectand City Harvest London Your generosity helps us provide amazing food and bring joy to so many people, day after day. Thank you for making this possible!

Another Christmas Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme successfully completed in Harrow!

It has been our privilege to once again be part of the amazing Winter Wonderland, working alongside Pascal and his hardworking team from Magna Groups to create lasting memories for Harrow’s children.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this possible—feeding, serving, and bringing smiles to so many faces this year:
• Hilton London Wembley and Meredith Bevan, for their continued support in providing the highest quality fresh ingredients to give the children the best Christmas meal.
• Harrow Mayor, Cllr Salim Chowdhury, for his ongoing support.

This much-needed annual event is critical for families in Harrow, especially those on Free School Meals (FSM). A huge thank you to the Department for Education for supporting the initiative. However, it is vital that families, providers, and schools have clarity about the programme’s future.



Together, we’ve made a real difference for Harrow’s children, and we look forward to continuing this important work.
