United We Stream London
United We Stream is a community driven initiative created in March 2020 in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic to provide an inclusive online platform for club cultures in need of a voice. It raises awareness and funds for nighttime economy workers and creatives, who are experiencing financial hardship.
Originating in Germany, the successful fundraising campaign for Berlin clubs grew into a global cultural platform and movement, raising over €1.5 million from 25,000 donations, streaming over 400 hours of music from over 2000 artists in 150 iconic clubs and locations, generating 25 million views on YouTube, Facebook and UWS websites and 300 cross posts with partners in more than 90 across four continents.
United We Stream London is launching its first series of online events in October to raise money for the capital’s venue staff facing the end of the furlough scheme, freelancers and artists who have fallen outside of the UK government’s funding net.
We are fully committed to showcasing the diversity of London’s music scene, promoting inclusiveness and equality inside and outside of the DJ booth and using our platform to invoke positive change in our community.
