There are two common ways of calculating the Hindu lunar months:
🌕 Purnimanta Calendar — the month ends on Purnima (full moon), traditionally followed in Eastern and Northern India.

🌑 Amanta Calendar — the month ends on Amavasya (new moon), followed in many parts of Western and Southern India.

Therefore, Shravan Maas dates can vary depending on the Panchang being followed. Those who are following the Purnima calendar, tomorrow is the final Somwar of Shravan Maas, please join us to seek the divine blessings of Mahadev on this auspicious Shravan Somwar.
We will be chanting 108 Mahamrityunjay Mantra along Jalabhishek. We will also chant Shiv Tandav Stotram, Lingashtakam , Rudrashtakam followed by Aarti and Prasad. Looking forward to seeing you all. Har Har Mahadev 🙏🔱🙏

🙏 To help our pre-teens and teenagers develop a stronger connection with the Mandir and deepen their relationship with God, we are excited to launch a new initiative for the next generation:

🌟 MANDIR YUVA 🌟

📚 Beginning in September 2026, we will launch group Maths lessons for GCSE and SATs year 6 students (also suitable for Year 5 students preparing for 11+ exams) at Coulsdon Mandir, at a reasonable cost. The programme will be coordinated and delivered by experienced education professionals from within our community.
