๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ No matter the weather, we're there.

On Monday 8th June, our Detached Youth Work team was out in Croydon Town Centre, continuing our commitment to supporting young people where they are. As a consistent community presence, we are out at least three times a week during term time, building trusted relationships and providing support, guidance, and positive engagement week in, week out.

Our work goes beyond supporting young people. We regularly engage with local businesses, community partners, parents, and guardians to help create a safer and more supportive environment for all.

Every member of our team is First Aid trained and professionally trained in Detached Youth Work through the National Youth Agency, ensuring young people receive safe, high-quality support from experienced practitioners.

A highlight of the day was visiting our community partners, CDI, and attending their fantastic event. It was great to see so many people coming together to celebrate, connect, and strengthen our community.

Together, we're helping to keep young people safe, supported, and connected.

If you see our team out and about in the community, come and say hello!

From ideation to execution...from viral pranks to real conversations

Yesterday one of social medias most innovative content creators stopped by to link up with P4YE's young people to dive into a big question: Should social media be banned for under 16s? ๐Ÿ‘€

In addition to this, we had yet another winner in the building collecting his self designed P4YE/NIKE kicks ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

Watch out for the soon to be released episode of this youth produced podcast...its not one to be missed ๐Ÿ‘€

Rising to the top๐Ÿš€

Last week, for the second year running, P4YE was invited to The Limes College, Sutton to help students ace their mock interviews!

It was really inspiring to see the students gain confidence, polish their interview skills, and experience what a professional interview feels like. For many, it was a first taste of real-world preparation, helping them understand how to present themselves, answer questions, and showcase their strengths. ๐Ÿ’ผโœจ

Helping students to shine never gets old! ๐ŸŒŸ so P4YE will continue to keep helping young people rise to the top. ๐Ÿ’ช

โœจ๐ŸŽ„ From P4YE, with love ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

This December, our young people shared what P4YE truly means to them โ€” a space to belong, to grow, to be heard ๐Ÿ’š
They also reflected on what Christmas means in their lives: togetherness, hope, giving, family, and sometimes simply having a moment of peace.

They looked ahead. New Dreams, new goals, and New Years resolutions rooted in courage, self-belief, and community. โœจ

We wanted to share these special moments in December - foodbank deliveries, our community event, Xmas HAF club, celebrating mentees in schools, detached youth work, hiring an arcade โ€” and last, but definitely not least, a beautiful Christmas duet from two of our young people at the football. ๐ŸŽถ ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

Thank you to everyone who has walked alongside P4YE this year โ€” our young people, families, partners, and supporters.

๐ŸŽ We wish everyone a Christmas filled with love, laughter, and festive moments, and a New Year full of growth, joy, and possibility.

Hereโ€™s to continuing the journey together ๐Ÿ’ซ

๐ŸŽ‰ Celebrating Our Latest Winner! ๐ŸŽ‰

This post won't show his face โ€” because this incredibly humble young man asked us not to โ€” but his actions deserve to be seen by everyone. ๐Ÿ’›

Our Jack Petchey Award winner from Saffron Valley Collegiate chose to spend his grant on equipment for his school, knowing that all too often, young people from Alternative provisions are forgotten, underepresented and discarded. They are the young people we advocate for everyday and we often ask for funding to support them but the calls are not heard as most funding goes towards children in mainstream.

He chose to put others before himself, making a real difference to his school community, and despite being naturally shy, he has shown huge courage and determination. Working closely with his school and P4YE, he committed himself to coming in every single day, transformed his punctuality, boosted his attainment, and showed outstanding behaviour. ๐ŸŒŸ

He has worked so hard he is finally transitioning back into mainstream โ€” and we could not be prouder of him

We respect his wish for privacyโ€ฆ but weโ€™ll still shout his achievements from the rooftops! ๐Ÿš€โœจ

๐Ÿ‘ Well done, young man. You inspire us all. ๐Ÿ‘

Powerful words from Amani Simpson on the P4YE Podcast:
โ€œGive yourself the best chance of livingโ€ฆ because your mindset can change.โ€

To every young person who needs this reminder โ€” we see you, we believe in you.
