Magical Days Out: A single free magical day out for children to enjoy at one of the Merlin Attractions. Free tickets, travel grants and a simple application process. Magic On Tour: Where children are unable to attend one of the Merlin Attractions, we take the m

agic of Merlin to them in person and now, online! Magical Spaces: In places where children spend a lot of time; hospitals, hospices, orphanages, and schools. Bringing magic to every day.

💙 “Best day ever! Everything was perfect.” 💙

When Deen's mum, Emily, shared those words after their recent visit to Alton Towers Resort, it meant the world to us!

Deen is 5 years old and lives with Quadriparetic Cerebral Palsy. As a huge CBeebies fan, there was only one place he wanted to visit with his siblings Adam and Layla, and parents Emily and Humza.

Thanks to support from Acorns Children's Hospice, the family enjoyed an unforgettable overnight stay in a themed CBeebies Hotel room, along with special surprises throughout their visit and plenty of time to enjoy the magic of CBeebies Land together🧸!

For families facing difficult circumstances, spending quality time together and making happy memories can mean everything. We're honoured to have played a small part in giving Deen and his family a break filled with smiles, laughter and moments they'll cherish for years to come✨.

It's always special to welcome a fan back, and for 8-year-old Riley, his return visit to Shrek's Adventure London was one to remember. Riley is living with cancer and
supported by The Joshua Tree.

After meeting Riley and his family on a previous visit, it was clear that he was a huge Shrek fan. So, the team wanted to make his second visit even more magical!

From surprise goodies and bespoke character interactions to meeting even more of his favourite characters, every detail was designed to make the day extra special. Riley and his family also enjoyed a specially arranged afternoon tea tailored around his chemotherapy schedule, spent time playing with the characters in a fully sanitised room, and rounded off the experience with a spin on the iconic London Eye! 🎡

Creating moments of play like these is what it's all about. Thank you, Riley, for bringing so many smiles to everyone you met. We hope your Shrek-tacular day was filled with special memories 💚

From PAW Patrol fun to behind-the-scenes animal experiences, every moment was packed with excitement, joy and a lot of magic!

Because every child deserves the chance to make memories that last a lifetime 💫

A massive thank you to the team of 16 colleagues from across Merlin Entertainments who took part in the Cycle Challenge yesterday to raise money for Merlin’s Magic Wand! 🚲

Cycling a 76-mile circular route from Madame Tussauds London to Official LEGOLAND Windsor then THORPE PARK Official then Chessington World of Adventures Resort, and finally finishing at the iconic The Official London Eye, we are so proud of you! 👏🏅

Thank you for supporting Merlin’s Magic Wand and enabling us to continue to unlock the magic of Merlin through play for children facing adversity! 🩵

In Spring 2025, Amy and her family visited Official LEGOLAND Windsor through our Magical Day Out programme. At the time, Amy was living with a terminal diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma, and throughout her hospital treatment, LEGO® provided her with a great source of comfort.

Supported by Young Lives vs Cancer, Merlin’s Magic Wand arranged a special visit to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, where creative coordinators crafted a VIP Day from private tours to behind-the-scenes magic.

“Honestly, it was fantastic” Amy’s mum, Natasha, reflected afterwards. “Every one of us smiled all day. It really was amazing.”

A few months later, Amy sadly passed away.

While navigating the difficult months that followed and reflecting on their memories created during their visit to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Young Lives vs Cancer approached Merlin’s Magic Wand to ask whether another visit might be possible, the team immediately remembered Amy.

In loving memory of Amy, the LEGOLAND® team designed a Minilander in her likeness to be placed in Miniland next to the Eiffel Tower, where she and her boyfriend had travelled together. Amy’s Minilander features her in her prom dress, and by her side is her beloved puppy, Diesel.

On a quiet July morning, before guests filled the pathways and before the sounds of the park echoed across the resort, Amy’s family stood together as her Minilander was placed into Miniland.

And now, as guests continue to discover Miniland, Amy will remain there too - standing proudly beside the Eiffel Tower, with Diesel by her side, bringing smiles to generations of visitors to come.

A special day at Official LEGOLAND Windsor for Kian, Lacey and Mum, Rocksham 🩵
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust got in touch with us to arrange a magical day for Kian (9), Lacey (16), Mum, Rocksham and Dad, Andrew at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

Sadly, Andrew’s condition declined more rapidly than anticipated, and he passed away before the family could carry out these plans. After some time, the family felt ready to go ahead with their visit to spend some much-needed time together.

The team were able to arrange an overnight stay at the Resort, two days in the Park and VIP wristbands so they could make the most of every magical moment 🫶
