πŸ“£ Free EPEC Training for Parents & Carers

We're excited to announce our latest round of FREE Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) training for parents and carers of children aged 2–12 years.

EPEC is a parent-led programme that brings families together to share experiences, build confidence, and learn practical strategies for positive parenting.

Through supportive peer-led sessions, you'll gain helpful tips, new perspectives, and encouragement in a welcoming, judgement-free environment.

πŸ’™ Because when parents feel empowered, children and communities thrive.

πŸ“š Managing Academic Stress: Building Healthy Study Habits

⁉️ Do you know a young person who would benefit from this support and guidance?

Academic pressure can feel overwhelming, especially for young people navigating exams, coursework and future pathways.

That's why Bromley Y is offering a free 60-minute webinar for young people in Years 10 to 13 who are experiencing academic stress and would like support in developing healthier study habits.

The next webinars are coming up on 17th October at 10am and 9th November at 5pm. During the sessions, we'll explore:

βœ… What academic stress is and why it happens
βœ… Practical strategies for creating healthy study habits
βœ… Ways to manage stress more effectively during busy periods
βœ… Options for further support if needed

We understand that joining a webinar can feel daunting. Our sessions are designed to be safe, welcoming and pressure-free. Participants will never be asked individually to answer questions, and all involvement is entirely optional. Those who wish can contribute through the chat function during the session.

Attendees will also receive a helpful handout summarising the key points discussed.

πŸ“ Delivered via Microsoft Teams
⏱ Duration: Approximately 60 minutes

Supporting young people's wellbeing is just as important as supporting their academic success. Together, we can help make studying feel more manageable.

We all need a little support sometimes. Your support network might include family, friends, a trusted teacher, a coach or another adult you feel comfortable talking to.

Think about the people you can turn to when things feel difficult, when you need someone to listen, or even when you just need a bit of encouragement. 🫢

You don't have to figure everything out on your own - finding your people can make a difference. 🌱
