The Arab Community Centre in Britain was delighted to attend the Islamic Impact Investing Summit in London, hosted by Wellspring Ark. 🌍

The summit brought together inspiring people and organisations working across Islamic finance, social enterprise, philanthropy and impact investment. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, build new connections and explore future collaborations.

A particular highlight was the excellent panel:

“Backing Impact in the Arab World: Potential, Possibility & What It Takes”

Featuring Lama Amr 🇵🇸 from BuildPalestine and Suha Abdul Rahim from Alfanar Venture Philanthropy, the discussion explored how social entrepreneurs across the Arab world are creating meaningful change in challenging environments—and how investment, partnerships and stronger community networks can help unlock their potential.

Such a wonderful night at Royal Albert Hall with the legendary Egyptian composer and pianist Omar Khairat. ✨🎹

A magical evening that brought back the beauty of great Arab music and so many unforgettable memories. The music, the atmosphere, and the emotions made it truly special. ❤️

🇩🇿🇬🇧 بطل جزائري نفخر به

نحيّي بكل فخر سمير زيتوني، البطل الجزائري الذي أظهر شجاعة استثنائية وساهم في إنقاذ الأرواح خلال الهجوم على القطار في هنتنغدون.

التقى به جلالة الملك أمس تقديراً لشجاعته وتفانيه في لحظة فارقة، في موقف يعكس قيم الإنسانية والمسؤولية والتكاتف المجتمعي.

إن ما قام به سمير يذكرنا بأن البطولة لا تعرف حدوداً، وأن القيم الإنسانية تجمعنا جميعاً.
نفخر به وبأمثاله من أصحاب المواقف المشرفة.

We proudly honour Samir Zitouni, the Algerian hero whose bravery helped save lives during the Huntingdon train attack.

Yesterday, His Majesty the King met Samir, recognising his courage and selflessness — a powerful moment reflecting the values of humanity, responsibility, and unity.

True heroism knows no borders. We are proud of him and of all those who stand up for others when it matters most.
