At Next Tech Girls we inspire today's girls in education to become tomorrow's women in technology. In 2022 just 26% of people working in the UK tech industry are women. Next Tech Girls was set up to tackle this underrepresentation at the grassroots level. We partner with companies and educational institutions to deliver tech-focused events, training and work placements for tee

nage girls. By providing them with hands-on experience and insights into the opportunities available at a critical age, when studies show their interest tends to drop off, we are shaping their futures and the future of the tech industry. Since 2016 we've worked with more than 100 schools and 40 companies to provide 350+ girls with experience of a career in tech. Our ambition is to inspire 10,000 girls around the world by 2030.

We asked attendees to describe our latest insight Day in one word… 💜

These clips were filmed at the end of our recent Tech Sales Insight Day with in London, where university students and recent graduates from a wide range of degree courses - including Computer Science and Software Engineering, but also Politics, Psychology, Creative Writing, Physiotherapy, Marketing and more - explored careers in tech, met women working in different roles, took on a challenge in teams and pitched ideas to senior leaders, and connected with other young women considering careers in the industry.

💡 “I didn’t know I could use my degree in this way” – Mona, 24, Computer Science undergraduate

In June we partnered with Rowden to deliver our first Frontline Tech Insight Day in Bristol with 12 student participants 📻

They built and tested radios, tackled a systems engineering challenge, explored real-world applications of Radio Frequency and machine learning, and heard directly from Rowden’s engineers and graduates about their careers.

⭐️ Students gave the Insight Day a score of 4.9/5 (98%) for hands-on learning opportunities
📈 100% said the Insight Day had a positive influence on their career direction
💻 100% left interested in pursuing a career in tech
