28.03.26 Together March against racism and the far right.

Definitely one of the biggest demonstrations in recent history, not as big as Iraq in 2003 but bigger than the anti-Brexit marches. Maybe not half a million but certainly several hundred thousand. The police of course say 50,000 and the mainstream media begrudgingly gave it a small amount of coverage.

Unlike the far right march of 110,000 last year there was no violence by coked up and pi**ed Engerlaaand idiots. Farage is not as popular as he or the billionaire press pretend - f**k the far right. The front had reached Trafalgar Square before even the middle had left Park Lane, 2 hours after the start.

I had to leave by 4pm so I didn’t get many shots of the march itself, just a few of Trafalgar Square and one looking down Whitehall.

11.03.26 Cut The Ties to fossil fuels @ Dept Energy Security & Net Zero.
Ed Milliband is about to announce whether to allow drilling to go ahead at Rosebank in the North Sea despite being ruled unlawful by a Scottish court in January 2025 due to insufficient consideration of climate impact. Hardly compatible with ‘New Zero’ or energy security. Profits would go to Norway’s state owned Equinor corporation.

On 17th July 2022 six members of Healthcare Professionals for Extinction Rebellion went to the UK HQ of JP Morgan, the world’s largest bank, at Canary Wharf.

They proceeded to crack the windows of the lobby to protest the bank’s continued financing of global fossil fuel operations. They were all arrested and charged with £160,000 of Criminal Damage.

The jury was unable to reach a verdict on their first trial in 2024. Today they were found not guilty by unanimous verdict of the jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

JP Morgan is a monster bank with assets of around US$4 trillion. Beyond its fossil fuel investments it finances the wholesale destruction of nature across the globe.

From press release:

Just before 1pm on Monday 16 February, a jury returned a unanimous not-guilty verdict for all six defendants after fewer than four hours of deliberation. The verdict was reached despite the jury being given no formal legal route to acquit.

This outcome represents a powerful affirmation of democratic judgment and a decisive win for future generations. During the trial, the defendants were clear that their actions were motivated by a duty of care to all, including those working inside the JPMorgan building.

They argued that medical responsibility does not end at the clinic door when preventable harm is escalating. The medics described their commitment to medical ethics, and the oaths they all take to protect life as part of their job.

The prosecution appealed to the jury that this was a simple case about whether or not glass was damaged, but the reason they were able to find the group not guilty was because the case was in fact about health, justice and care in an unprecedented time of irreparable harms done to our living planet and to our human family around the world.

Today’s verdict sends a clear message: when institutions of power fail to protect life, conscience, care, and collective responsibility still matter — and juries understand that. Further reading: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bVfXNRqWfD_vu42naFHa9nJ606qzHNQw7V7blOymHDg/edit?tab=t.0

20.01.26 City of London police arrested a kangaroo, but not just any old kangaroo...

Macquarie, is an Australian bank also known as the ‘Vampire Kangaroo’ after developing a reputation for buying companies, loading them with debt, asset stripping and sucking out money for shareholders.

The action yesterday included lobby occupiers, the Oil Slick, outreach flyers, banner holders, climbers and a Samba band. It won’t feature in the oligarch owned news but that’s not the point of the protest.

The aim is to challenge the people who work for such banks and corporations, to wake them up, to make them question their conscience and their roles - they live on the same planet as the rest of us, where their employers are hastening the collapse of a stable climate and eco-systems for endless growth driven profit.

During the action windows were sprayed with water soluble chalk paint. Police prevented people from removing it at the end. They brought in a ‘crime scene investigator’ instead. It remains to be seen whether the kangaroo will be charged with ‘criminal damage’ as a consequence.

Background:

Q: Ever wondered why our seas and rivers are full of sewage?

A: It’s in no small part due to the predator capitalism practised by the likes of Macquarie. Their PR company has branded them as the ‘Green Investment Group’ but the only thing that’s green about them is the greenwash. Whilst part-owner of Thames water they increased its debt by £8bn on order to pay themselves and other shareholders fake profits plus directors’ multi-million bonuses…and then there’s the tens of £billions invested in oil & gas…

10.12.25 Cut The Ties (to fossil fuels) paid a theatrical visit to the offices of Grayling in Southampton, the PR firm who help greenwash Drax, the UK’s largest carbon polluter.

A couple of flag sh***er type small bald men kicked off with ‘get a job’ and ‘f**k off’. How original.

Axe wielding Drax lumberjacks cut down a small forest of Christmas trees in the lobby. Chalk paint was sprayed on the windows then washed off before people left.

One person was arrested for ‘suspected fraud’ after entering the building with an ID lanyard in the name of Bernie Woods and asking for Grayling staff to come to reception. The coppers didn’t get the joke!

23 million old growth forest trees from US, Canada and South America are burnt at Drax every year as ‘sustainable’ fuel. Subsidised by UK tax payers to the tune of £2.4m per day.

6th September, 2025. A day that will live in infamy - the largest number of arrests in a single day in modern British history. Not that you would know that from the miniscule amount of press coverage.

Following the 534 arrests in August, another 857 peaceful protestors were arrested on Parliament Square on terrorism charges for expressing their opposition to the description of non violent direct action protest group Plasticine Action as animated terrorists by Suella Cooper after lobbying from Elbit Systems and the Zionist regime.

Elbit Systems is the Zionist, settler, colonial, apartheid state’s manufacturer of ‘battle tested’ (mostly on Palestinian civilians) weapons. They’re the real world Cyberdyne Systems, the killer robot corporation from the Terminator movies. Some of their 13 UK sites were allegedly targeted in a Private Eye cartoon.

It was a dignified occasion with people of all ages and backgrounds calmly sitting and waiting for their arrest. Some in wheelchairs and on mobility scooters.

A small crowd of angry people spilled into the square after the massive anti-genocide protest that ended in Whitehall and shouted abuse at the police. Police from at least 8 counties piled in with sn**ch squads to make unnecessarily aggressive arrests:

The Met
City Police
West Midlands
Humberside
Cheshire
Thames Valley
Northumbria
Heddlu

As they carted off a succession of old ladies, healthcare workers and a blind man, a fair percentage of the coppers looked like they’d rather be elsewhere, catching criminals or something.

Around 1500 people started the protest but it took so long for the police to gear up their massive operation, nearly half of them had gone home by 21:30 when I left.

The photos don’t do justice to just how massive the police operation was; 2,000 or so cops, hundreds of vans and people taken to cells as far away as Ilford. Bonkers.

I’ve seen some dark and crazy s**t in my time but this tops them lot.

534 people arrested on Parliament Square for holding placards opposing genocide and expressing supporting a non-violent protest group who broke into arms factories and smashed up military drones who were recently proscribed as ‘terrorists’ by Suella Cooper.

The largest single day mass arrest in policing history. A large number of the arrestees were 60+, some in their 80s. Even a blind man in a wheelchair was arrested.

Meanwhile the 5ioninsts assassinated 6 Al Jazeera journalists and camera crew.
