Guy Verhofstadt (well known Belgian MEP) says, it's not MAGA, it's MEGA ( πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί ). Is Trump forcing us to make it happen? πŸ˜€

For any London Seniors, Age UK is sponsoring a hustings event for the Mayoral candidates, including Zoe Garbett.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age UK London is delighted to invite older Londoners, their groups and organisations, to attend the London Mayoral election hustings on the afternoon of Monday 25th March. The event will take place at Canary Wharf, London.

Register your details to attend using this link. Spaces to the event are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, so we advise you to register as soon as possible if you would like to attend.

This is your opportunity to hear the mayoral candidates from the Conservatives, Greens, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties make their pitch to London and answer your questions. They will debate the issues that matter most to older Londoners and respond to Age UK London's manifesto.

A light sandwich lunch will be served from 1.15pm with the hustings commencing promptly at 2pm. The event will close at 4pm. You can add your dietary requirements when you register.

You can also submit a question that you would like to put to the candidates when registering your details to attend but it may not be possible to ask all questions due to time constraints.

If you have any questions please email [email protected].

We look forward to welcoming you.

Let's cheer up and remind ourselves of the relative (ir)-relevance of political life. We are 'Gen68' if anyone remembers? The starting point of this 'green thing'?

Green Party Seniors had their AGM recently but very regrettably we were unable to vote for a full committee. We are surprised and somewhat dismayed that our two co-chairs and the membership secretary have been informed of 'No Fault Suspensions' - this after one of them having just returned from a weekend campaigning for our strong East England target constituency. It is hoped that this confusing situation can be resolved amicably with the level of common sense befitting a progressive party.
We will continue to have our regular supportive Green Party posts in this group and thank everyone for their patience in the meantime while things get resolved.
Grey panthers, silver surfers, 'Gen 68ers' and Wise Elders unite!
You have nothing to lose but a beautiful planet .... πŸ’š
