Rev Malcolm Johnson, who spent a lifetime supporting lgb people, challenging homophobia, and advocating for equality has died aged 89. He paid a heavy price for challengijng the complacent, hurtful status quo. The Guardian Brief Lives is limited to 400 words. So much more should be said in tribute.

Over 100+k signatures, in just 4 days. Amazing. Doubling that would be even better. Let's help stop the puberty blocker trial and save children from avoidable, often extreme harm. It's antigay conversion therapy on the NHS by another name.

The government is aware of the potential irreversible impact (physical and emotional) of puberty blockers, having acknowledged an 'unacceptable safety risk’ following the Cass Review. Yet, hundreds of children are about to be given puberty blockers under a government-sanctioned trial.

We oppose the Puberty Blockers trial. Most children and young people who find themselves at a gender clinic are beginning to come to terms with their same-sex attraction. Homosexuality is not an illness to be cured with drugs.
