Bitcoin mining project in Kenya helps power rural community.

Gridless Compute, a hydro-power Bitcoin mining initiative, tweeted that the project has successfuly powered a rural community and lowered its existing energy rates.

On Dec. 9, Gridless Compute tweeted on how their hydro-power BTC mining rigs are powering an entire rural settlement while also lowering energy rates for 2,000 people, the equivalent to 500 families. According to the tweet, costs decrease from $10 per month to $4.

Binance sees 30% surge in trading activity on FTX implosion.

Trading activity on the largest crypto exchange jumped by 30% last month, when FTX had a liquidity crunch that eventually led to its bankruptcy.

Trading on Bitcoin (BTC) pairs accounted for half of total trading volume on Binance in November, up from 25% in June.

According to 2,000 Australians surveyed for the Independent Reserve Cryptocurrency Index, Bitcoin is No.1 for brand recognition, ownership and overall sentiment.

Most of those surveyed who own crypto believe that the price of Bitcoin will be above $30,000 by 2030 - almost double today's price.
