🏃🏽‍♀️ RUN THIS TOWN
How does it feel to run through the City of London after dark?

POoR Collective invites women and non-binary people to join us for a guided night run exploring how safety, visibility and comfort shape our experience of moving through the city at night.

🏃🏿‍♀️ RUN
Join an experienced running facilitator for a guided circular route through the City of London, beginning and ending at Brookfield Pavilion.

👀 OBSERVE
As we run, we’ll pay attention to the streets and public spaces we move through. What feels safe and welcoming? What feels uncomfortable, poorly lit or overlooked?

💬 REFLECT
We’ll finish with an informal group discussion at the Pavilion to share observations, experiences and ideas for how the City could work better for people moving through it after dark.

📅 Thursday 27 August
⏰ 8:30–10pm
📍 Citypoint, City of London

For women and non-binary people. All running abilities welcome.
Free to take part — places are limited.

Join us for a guided night walk through the City of London, exploring lighting, visibility, movement, accessibility and atmosphere.

✏️ DESIGN
Choose one of the locations visited and develop your own creative proposal to make it safer and more welcoming.

For the 2026 edition of Mayrit Bienal in Madrid, we presented The Weight of Identity, a project exploring how flags compress identity, history and ideology into a single form.

Founded by Spanish designer Miguel Leiro, Mayrit Bienal is a platform for contemporary, experimental and critical design. It brings together designers, artists and cultural practitioners to consider how the objects, spaces and systems we inhabit are produced, and how design can respond to the social and political questions shaping our world.

For this project, we wanted to explore how flags can unite and mobilise, while also divide and exclude. Flags are fabrics of belonging and defiance, carrying tensions among resistance, nationalism, liberation, and power. Through this project, we consider the flag not simply as an object or representation, but as a living model that actively shapes political and emotional realities.

We are super proud to be part of V&A East Museum’s This Is Why We Make campaign!

For us, making is a tool for empowerment. It enables communities to play an active role in shaping the spaces they live in, use, and belong to.

Beyond the Bridge is a major transformation project reimagining Falcon Road Bridge - from a dark, unwelcoming railway underpass for Europe’s busiest station into a vibrant, inclusive, and community-owned landmark at the heart of Clapham Junction. Developed with a multidisciplinary team the project places community engagement, sustainability, and safety at its core.

The design has been shaped through extensive community engagement, including over 1,000 survey responses, walking tours, creative workshops, and a Community Design Review Panel. This collaborative process ensured the final scheme reflected Wandsworth’s rich cultural identity and local stories while addressing key community concerns around lighting, noise, and safety.

Central to the design is the concept of community ownership, expressed through co-designed enamel-clad panels and artwork celebrating neighbourhood landmarks and lived experiences.
