The World Jewish Congress formally marked 90 years since its founding in Geneva on Sunday evening, opening a week of high-level meetings focused on rising , global extremism, and the security of communities worldwide โ€“ and JPR is there to share the latest data and insights into how to fight it.

Today, in a joint session of the WJC Governing Board and the Special Envoys and Coordinators Combating Antisemitism (SECCA) Forum, JPR Executive Director Dr Jonathan Boyd delivered a presentation on responding to the politicisation of antisemitism and its impact on Jews worldwide, calling leaders and policymakers to understand and predict triggers, address ambient antisemitism and adopt a more strategic approach to researching and policy-making designed to fight antisemitism and foster .

Our research details who Jews are โ€“ how they live their lives, and their prospects, hopes and concerns. It is designed to put relevant facts, figures and analysis into the hands of those best placed to develop and shape community policy at every level.

With antisemitic attacks rising across the UK, and record numbers of British Jews making aliyah in 2025, a critical question is coming into sharper focus: ๐—ฑ๐—ผ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—๐—ฒ๐˜„๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—ถ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ?

JPRโ€™s latest report by Dr Jonathan Boyd examines patterns of 'aliyah' (immigration to Israel) since October 7 and has already been widely covered in the UK and international media, including BBC Panorama and BBC News, The Guardian, CNN, Haaretz.com, ืžืขืจื™ื‘ ืื•ื ืœื™ื™ืŸ Maariv Online, The Jewish News, and The Jewish Chronicle.

The findings come amid a growing sense among many British Jews that they are being held responsible for events in Israel โ€” raising urgent questions about belonging, security and the future.

This is not just about aliyah. It is about how British Jews are navigating identity and safety in an increasingly uncertain environment.

As Israel marks Yom Haโ€™atzmaut this evening, these questions feel more immediate than ever.

As Israel prepares to mark its Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day) and Yom Haโ€™atzmaut (Independence Day), what does the country mean to British Jews today?

New JPR data point to a complex picture: for some, attachment has deepened; for others, distance and unease have grown. For many, it raises challenging questions about identity, values and belonging.

In his latest op-ed for The Jewish News, Omri Gal Kornblum explores how are navigating their relationship with at this moment, and what challenges and opportunities it presents leaders and policymakers.

Since October 7, 2023, British Jewish life has been reshaped in ways that are still unfolding. The shock of the attacks on Israeli citizens, the subsequent war in Gaza and the global reaction to it have placed Israel at the centre of Jewish consciousness in Britain in an unusually intense way. According to our latest report, Pesach ( ) is perhaps the single most participated event on the calendar.

Tonight, amid differences in beliefs, practices, backgrounds, and circumstances, Jews worldwide will gather around tables to celebrate our freedom from slavery and becoming a Peoplehood. In the UK, more than 8 out of 10 attended a seder in 2025.

It is traditional to ask questions during the seder, but we figured - why stop at just the standard four?

Dr Jonathan Boyd suggests four other questions worth discussing around the seder table this year: https://www.jpr.org.uk/insights/four-questions-pesach-year

Omri Gal highlights Pesach's instructions to remember a different narrative: https://www.jpr.org.uk/insights/night-remember-different-narrative

And our annual 'Whose Passover is it Anyway?' family quiz has ten new questions to read along the Haggadah: https://www.jpr.org.uk/insights/whose-passover-it-anyway-2026

This coming Wednesday, Jews worldwide will attend seder night - the main tradition of the holyday of Pesach (Passover). In the UK, our data shows more than 8 out of 10 British Jews attended a seder last year.

The seder is a perfect recipe for strengthening Jewish identity in ways that resonate across different levels of religious engagement and generations. For parents, leaders and educators, seder night is an opportunity to reach those parts of our community that are normally less involved in Jewish life year-round.

That's why, for the fifth year running, we have produced our '๐—ช๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—”๐—ป๐˜†๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜†' ๐—ณ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜† ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐˜‡ for you to download, print and bring to the seder table: https://www.jpr.org.uk/insights/whose-passover-it-anyway-2026

Purim is here. A festival of masks, paradoxes and noisy joy, marking the story of how Persian Jews thwarted the evil Hamanโ€™s plot to annihilate them. An old tale that takes a real form in current events.

Compared with other key festivals, is among the least widely observed by , with just under half celebrating it last year. Yet the patterns beneath prompt important questions about how Purim might serve as a key moment in the calendar for engaging those on the fringes of community and and at particularly formative life stages.
