Dear Guardians,

The 25th February 2026, marks a pivotal milestone for us: the 6th anniversary of Sacred Groves. What began as a mission to protect our planet’s greatest assets has evolved into a global ecosystem spanning 30+ countries. In a world where we lose the equivalent of 18 football pitches of forest every minute, our collective transition from 'spectators' to 'Guardians' has never been more urgent.

Our journey is defined by innovation. We have moved beyond traditional charity, supplementing conservation funding with modern, transparent nature funding models. Through our Sacred Groves Clusters (SGCs), we’ve utilized blockchain technology to allow individuals to become direct stakeholders in the planet’s health.

We are particularly proud of our "Junk to Jungles" initiative. By reclaiming the residual value of electronic waste, partners like Leisung Technologies LLC and AKI Group are turning decommissioned assets into thriving forests—a zero-cost ESG action that aligns with four UN Sustainable Development Goals.

From ruya Banks NatureProtect to our "National Forest" designations in Wales, we are proving that business can grow in harmony with nature. Our soon to be launched myEarth Point loyalty ecosystem aims to redefined conscious growth, enabling businesses to incentivize customers through traceable climate action.

As we celebrate six years, our eyes remain fixed on our 2030 Million-Acre Milestone. Thank you for weaving conservation into your personal and commercial DNA. Together, we are securing the lungs of our planet.

May the forest be with you 🦋

Happy Valentine’s Day 2026! While today is traditionally reserved for roses and chocolates, at Sacred Groves, we are celebrating our most enduring and ancient romance: Biophilia.

Defined as our innate, emotional, and spiritual connection to the natural world, biophilia is more than just an aesthetic preference—it is a biological necessity. This February 14th, we’re breaking down why our hearts truly beat for the planet:

1. The Biological "Spark"
Humans have a genetically based urge to connect with nature. This "innate affinity" is why a walk in the woods lowers stress hormones and restores mental clarity. Nature isn't just a backdrop; it’s our oldest companion.

2. Environmental Identity (Topophilia)
Love for nature is often defined by Topophilia—the affective bond between people and a place. Whether it’s a specific forest or a childhood park, nature becomes an extension of the self. When we protect these spaces, we are protecting a piece of our own identity.

3. Love as an Action (Guardianship)
True love requires commitment. Beyond the "awe and wonder" of a beautiful landscape lies Guardianship. This is the ethical decision to recognise nature’s intrinsic value and make personal sacrifices—like reducing our footprint or choosing sustainable paths—to ensure ecosystems thrive long after we are gone.

4. A Sense of Transcendence
In the presence of an ancient grove, we often feel a sense of "cosmic energy." It’s the realisation that we belong to a larger whole. This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate the bond that connects every leaf, bird, and human heart.

How are you showing your love for the planet this February 14th?

May the forest be with you 🥰

The recently released UNEP State of Finance for Nature 2026 report delivers a stark wake-up call: For every $1 we invest in protecting nature, $30 is still being spent on activities that destroy it!

At Sacred Groves, we recognize that this $7.3 trillion flow into nature-negative activities is the greatest risk to our global economic stability. However, the report also unveils a massive opportunity—the Trillion-Dollar Nature Transition Economy.

Key Insights for 2026:
1. The Finance Gap: To meet global biodiversity and climate targets, investment in Nature-based Solutions (NbS) must jump 2.5x to $571 billion annually by 2030.
2. Private Sector Vitality: Currently, private finance accounts for only a small fraction of nature investment. We need a systemic shift to bridge this gap.
3. The X-Curve Framework: UNEP introduces a practical path for businesses to phase out harmful subsidies and scale high-integrity NbS.

Bridging this gap is exactly why we created Sacred Groves. By enabling individuals and organizations to participate in the protection of natural habitats, we are helping redirect the flow of capital toward a nature-positive future.
It’s time to stop funding nature’s decline and start powering its recovery.

Guardian Spotlight: Darsh Misra, Grade 6, Riyadh

Every once in a while, a message arrives that touches our hearts and reminds us why we began this journey — to protect what truly matters.

We recently heard from Darsh Misra, a bright Grade 6 student from Riyadh, who received a Sacred Groves Cluster as a gift from his grandmother on her 75th birthday. Along with his cousins, Darsh became a Sacred Groves Guardian, joining our global family of people who care deeply about the planet.

Here’s what Darsh wrote to us:
“Nature means a lot to me because nature is always protecting us and giving us all we need, but we are constantly destroying it. For this reason, I want to conserve and save all these animals and plants. That’s also why the gift of becoming a Sacred Groves Guardian means so much to me. I feel confident that I can protect and take more responsibility for the environment.”

In his words, we see hope — the kind that grows when one generation passes its love for nature to the next.

Thank you, Darsh, and thank you to his incredible grandmother, for reminding us that when we gift nature, we gift a better future. 🌍💚
