💜 A very special day at Southend and Westcliff Jewish Community Centre. 💜

At the incredible age of 96, Percy celebrated his Bar Mitzvah surrounded by fellow members, staff and volunteers at the centre.

Percy sadly missed the opportunity to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah when he was younger due to the Second World War, making this wonderful occasion all the more meaningful.

Please join us in wishing Percy a huge Mazel Tov! 🎉

A new home for Meals on Wheels in Redbridge. 🥘

This week marked the first Meals on Wheels collections from The Sugar & Ronson Campus, which is now home to Jewish Care's Redbridge Meals on Wheels hub.

The team has been busy settling into their new base as they continue providing frozen kosher meals to people across Essex and North East London.

Thank you to all the volunteers who help make this service possible. 💜

A warm welcome to The Dennis Centre at The Sugar & Ronson Campus. 💜

We are delighted that The Dennis Centre for people living with dementia is now open at its new home within The Sugar & Ronson Campus.

Purpose-built to support people living with dementia, The Dennis Centre provides a welcoming environment where members can take part in meaningful activities, connect with others and enjoy specialist support.

We're looking forward to creating many happy memories in this wonderful new space. 🏡

🐾 A very special Pets As Therapy charity visit to Jewish Care’s Betty and Asher Loftus Centre. 💜

These lovely pictures capture the wonderful work being done to support our residents wellbeing, bringing together registered Pets As Therapy (PAT) owners and Jewish Care’s volunteers department.

Our visits give residents the chance to enjoy some precious time with our four-legged friends, which brings comfort, cuddles, companionship and happy memories. 🐶❤️

Happy 97th Birthday, Renee Salt BEM 💜

Renee's life is one of extraordinary courage and resilience. Having survived the Holocaust, including imprisonment in the Łódź Ghetto, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Bergen-Belsen, she has dedicated her later years to ensuring that future generations never forget where hatred can lead. Through sharing her testimony, Renee has educated countless people and helped keep the memories of those who were lost alive.

Renee is a valued member of Jewish Care's Holocaust Survivors' Centre, where she continues to inspire those around her with her strength, warmth and determination. This photograph was taken as she celebrated her 97th birthday with a special cake at the Centre, surrounded by a community that is proud to celebrate this remarkable milestone with her.
