Three years of Israeli bombs and bullets have killed over 21,500 Palestinian children.❤️‍🩹

What should have been years spent learning, playing and imagining their futures have instead
been marked by violence, loss, famine, and displacement; or a stolen childhood.

Children in Gaza cannot afford another lost year.

➡️ Despite immense operational challenges, Save the Children and partners continue to support children and families across Gaza with lifesaving and life-sustaining programmes.

➡️ Since October 2023, Save the children have reached nearly all children in Gaza.

🚨 Palestinian children need a definitive ceasefire, access to education, healthcare, nutrition, protection services and safe spaces now.

When everything falls apart, school can hold everything together.

Like many children in Ukraine, Yehor (13) and Denys (16) have had their education disrupted by the war.

Living close to the frontline, they navigate air raid alerts, security threats, power outages and time spent in shelters while trying to continue their studies.‌

Across Ukraine, we are supporting children's access to education through Digital Learning Centres, school and shelter rehabilitation projects, and the provision of laptops and tablets for remote learning.

Because for children in crisis, education isn’t optional. It’s a lifeline.

Three months on from the devastating June 2026 earthquakes in Venezuela, and hundreds of thousands of children are still living with the aftermath of a disaster that turned their lives upside down.❤️‍🩹

Thousands are still living in temporary shelters as their homes remain damaged or destroyed.

Many have lost loved ones and witnessed their communities transform overnight.

Save the Children is providing healthcare, emergency supplies, education, safe spaces and, helping children to be children again following this disaster.

Following a powerful earthquake that ripped through western Colombia over a month ago, Save the Children is supporting impacted communities.

Psychosocial support staff are providing games and activities for children following the devastation.

Essential item kits are also being distributed as many families have lost their homes and belongings.

In this vlog, Maria Mercedes, Country Director for Save the Children in Colombia visits a safe space for families where children can be children again.

Over the past month, 90% of supermarket warehouses in Ukraine have come under attack.

Destruction of food, price rises and panic buying in supermarkets.

So, what does this mean for children?

When basic food becomes more expensive or harder to find, families already living with the impact of war, are forced to make difficult choices; like cutting back on the amount or variety of food they buy for their children.

In crisis, children are always the most vulnerable. The war in continues to impact children and their futures.

Schools are civilian structures that are protected under International Humanitarian Law.

They should never come under attack.🚫

Yet, around the world, millions of children are starting the new school year without a classroom.

When schools are targeted, dreams are disrupted.

Even in the hardest circumstances, children consistently tell us the same thing: They want to go to school.
