📢We were on the radio 📢

JIF joined ATMF, a registered, independent, supplier-led trade association representing garment and textiles manufacturers in the UK, to discuss the current state of the fashion industry and what needs to change on the radio.

A big shout out to BBC Radio Leicester for reporting these important developments in worker rights and supplier voice in the UK garment manufacturing industry.

SWIPE for a snapshot of the youth boards thoughts about their time at JIF.

During their six months at JIF, the youth board have been busy speaking at the JIF fashion show, creating social media content and working on other individual and team projects within JIF.

They all enjoyed their time with JIF and have shared their main takeaways of their time spent with JIF in our most recent blog...

https://www.justiceinfashion.org/post/saying-goodbye-to-the-first-jif-youth-board

The JIF team are delighted by the success of the first youth board. The outgoing youth board with their diverse backgrounds and experiences have all brought their unique experiences and talent to JIF. This group showcases a bright hope for future improvements in the fashion industry, with their passion for creating change and raising awareness amongst their peers on how this can be achieved.

We thank the youth board for all their hard work and wish them the best for the future, and hope to keep in touch and work together with them on future projects.

As you all know, we have been in the Covid-19 pandemic for 2 years now, and this has brought along a variety of different issues and impacted many different industries. One of these is the fashion and garment industry, including that within Tirupur.

This weeks blog post focuses on the impact of covid-19 on Tirupur’s garment workers. Link in bio

Many garment workers in Tirupur do not receive the financial, medical, and general support needed to survive the pandemic, and as a result have been further plummeted into poverty.

This is shocking, and there is not enough being done to recognise and raise awareness on the issues many of those in Tirupur are facing. As the pandemic continues, we need your support in raising awareness of those negatively impacted by Covid-19. So please continue to like, comment and share these blog posts, and together we can make a difference! đź’›
