You may have seen us shout out Amalia last week - a member of .i.c who is on her way to completing her RCI and passing down climbing knowledge to others 💛

This week we’re handing it over to her. Swipe to hear about her climbing journey, what community means to her, and how feeling supported has made all the difference.

Equality gives everyone the same. Equity gives everyone what they need. Here’s the difference and why it matters in climbing👆

A little while back our directors headed out for an outdoor bouldering day in the Peak District. Partway up the ascent, one of the climbers needed to stop and rest. So we did. We sat with her, listened and when we set off again quietly redistributed the weight - those who could carry more, did.

turned around and said: “This is what equity looks like.”

Not everyone carrying the same load. Everyone carrying what they could, so that we all got there together.

That’s what we try to bring to everything we do. Because equal access on paper doesn’t mean much if the barriers in practice are still there.

Climbing changed how we feel 🫂

This Mental Health Awareness Week the theme is ‘Action’ and that’s something we’ve always been about. Because the benefits of climbing go way beyond fitness. Swipe to see what we mean 👉

But these benefits only reach the people who can access climbing in the first place. And right now, too many people can’t.

That’s the work we do. And we need your support to keep doing it.

Happy Earth Day 🌍

We believe everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy, connection and benefits that comes from being outdoors.

The outdoors shouldn’t be a privilege - it should be a space where everyone feels they belong. Yet barriers, financial, social and systemic, still keep many people outs that means fewer individuals get to experience the confidence, connection and wellbeing that nature can offer.

Everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in these spaces, to access opportunities without barriers and feel the mental, physical and social benefits of nature.

We’re working to create that, supporting our communities, uplifting change-makers and standing alongside those creating a more inclusive outdoor future. At the same time, we’re committed to protecting the places we love by promoting environmentally responsible practices within the climbing industry.

Because we believe an inclusive outdoors is a strong, more sustainable one 💚

We’re so grateful for the support from partners like , helping us create real opportunities for our community.

Through this partnership, we’ve been able to invest in training, build skills and open up pathways for climbers to feel more confident and supported.

This is how we shape the future of climbing, one that’s inclusive, community-led and built on shared knowledge and safe spaces.

We’ve seen first-hand how powerful the right support can be and it’s why we’re committed to doing more.

Last week we were invited to join for a climbing session at 🧗‍♀️

Every Body Outdoors is working to improve representation for larger and plus sized bodies in the outdoor and climbing space across the uk - and to remind us that representation looks different for everyone.

It was wonderful to watch everyone supporting one another on the wall, celebrating every send and creating such a welcoming atmosphere. This is what community means to us and the kind of climbing space we believe in - one that truly represents all bodies 🙌

Go and check out to see the brilliant events they’ve got coming up around the UK 👏

2025 – what a year! ✨

As our climbing communities wrap up their end of year events, we’re reflecting on some of the incredible moments we’ve been part of. From welcoming new climbers to celebrating seasoned ones, 2025 has been full of growth, connection and adventure 🙌

A huge thank you to our climbing communities and friends for your continued support and our strategic partners and for helping us in making climbing and the outdoors more equitable. Together, we’ve:

✨ Helped climbers develop new skills and boosted confidence through training courses

✨ Welcomed our first cohort of future climbing instructors, with support from – already seeing one instructor fully qualified!

✨ Hosted and joined a full calendar of community events, creating warm and inclusive spaces

✨ Took women from diverse backgrounds to the Festival in Fontainebleau, where some bouldered for the very first time

✨ Celebrated an inclusive day of climbing with , showing the power of community

✨ Engaged in thought-provoking discussions on inclusivity, accessibility and equitable experiences in climbing

From epic sends to meaningful conversations, this year has reminded us how strong, supportive and inspiring our climbing community is. We’re ending 2025 feeling proud, grateful and excited to continue this journey in 2026 – with your support ❤️
