Nearly half of all people globally facing cataract-related blindness still lack access to the surgery that could restore their sight, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

In underserved communities, many people continue to live in darkness simply because treatment is out of reach. Through Vision Bright Campaigns, Al Basar International Foundation brings free eye care and sight-restoring cataract surgery to those who need it most.

Every donation helps fund consultations, surgeries, medications, and follow-up care for vulnerable patients who would otherwise go without treatment.

Since 1989, our Vision Bright campaigns have brought sight-saving care to some of the world's most underserved communities. Along the way, we have used 684,770 artificial intraocular lenses (IOLs), helping hundreds of thousands of people regain their vision and independence. 💛
