🎉 A proud achievement for the Technion! 🎉

For the fifth consecutive year, the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology has been ranked among the world’s Top 100 institutions for U.S. patent approvals.

In 2025, the Technion ranked:
🌍 81st in the world
🇮🇱 1st in Israel
🇪🇺 2nd in Europe

With 46 patents approved during the year, the Technion was the only Israeli university to make the prestigious Top 100 list. These patents cover a diverse range of fields, from artificial intelligence and quantum computing to advanced materials, smart drug delivery systems and 3D-printed technologies.

💡 The recognition highlights the Technion’s commitment not only to world-class research, but also to translating scientific discoveries into technologies that improve lives, strengthen economies and drive innovation worldwide.

🛌 Stress and lack of sleep do more than leave us feeling tired.

Experts warn that ongoing sleep deprivation and heightened stress can affect memory, concentration, mood, heart health, metabolism and even the immune system. Research shows that interrupted sleep may be just as damaging as sleeping too little, increasing the risk of long-term health complications if sustained over time.

According to Prof. Giora Pillar of the Technion Faculty of Medicine, sleep plays a critical role in memory, emotional processing and overall health. When sleep is repeatedly disrupted, these essential processes are affected.

💡 One practical recommendation is a short “combat nap” of 30–45 minutes, or simply taking time to rest and relax, which can help reduce some of the effects of sleep deprivation.

🌱 What started as a personal mission to protect his family became a global success story.

Ran Korber founded BreezoMeter after struggling to find reliable information about air quality while searching for a home for his growing family. The company's technology helped millions make healthier decisions and was ultimately acquired by Google in 2022.

Today, the Technion graduate is giving back by teaching aspiring entrepreneurs, investing in purpose-driven startups, and supporting charitable causes. His mission to make a positive impact is far from over.

A remarkable space mission involving Technion is set to launch this June! 🛰️☁️🌍

The Israeli-German CloudCT satellite will create highly detailed 3D maps of clouds, helping scientists better understand one of the most important factors in climate research.

By collecting new data on how clouds interact with sunlight and heat, the mission could lead to more accurate climate models and deeper insights into our changing planet.

How can organisms change shape over millions of years without disrupting the developmental processes that keep them alive? 🧬🌿

Researchers at Technion have tackled this fundamental question in biology, known as the “stability paradox”.

Their study reveals how organisms can evolve new body forms while maintaining the stability of the developmental systems that guide growth and function. The findings provide important new insights into the origins of life’s extraordinary diversity. 🔬🌍✨
