The Crisp Packet Project is a nonprofit Charity that is a revolution to the humble crisp packet. Our aim is to help the lives of many homeless people in keeping them warmer and drier. Thanks to Pen’s genius idea, many now wake up in bivvy bags made from upcycled crisp packets.

“giving life to single-use plastics and saving lives”; a combination of charity and sustainability that makes this a particularly impactful community initiative.

Once upon a time I used to hang out cloths, now I wash and hang up crisp packets.

Well on the way to have enough packets for our first crisp packet blanket. Whoop Woo 📸👏🏻🙅🏼‍♀️💥

The Crisp Packet Project

Back in 2019 Pen was volunteering for an amazing charity called Surviving the Streets. With a shortfall in sleeping and bivi bags and thinking of ways to help. She woke up with a EUREKA moment at 2.am one morning with the idea "What would it be like if I woke up in a crisp packet"

Cut a long story short, the next day she started fusing crisp packets and clear plastic together and realised they fused really well.
Since then the Crisp Packet Project has grown and grown.
Giving new life to single use plastics and saving lives for those who find themselves in our most less fortunate communities.
