In the realm of Skilled Volunteering, Kyla emerges as a shining hero, an ex-Charity consultant with an impressive background in capital appeals, major gifts, and event management. Her journey with Link UP London unfolds over several years, embodying a steadfast commitment to community growth and support.

Kyla's collaboration with Link UP London commenced in 2016 when Katherine Low Settlement sought guidance for capital fundraising efforts. Leveraging her extensive fundraising background, Kyla provided invaluable advice, marking the beginning of her impactful journey.

The year 2018 witnessed Kyla's significant involvement in diverse projects. From shaping and executing a successful fundraising event for Wandsworth Mediation Services to contributing as a fundraising advisor for Free2Be Alliance, Kyla showcased her prowess in event management and strategic fundraising planning.

In 2022, amid the challenges of the post-Covid landscape, Kyla extended her support to Work and Play Scrapstore, guiding them in planning their first post-Covid annual event when in-house resources were limited.

The momentum continued in 2023, as Kyla provided pivotal guidance to Vault Theatre in creating a fundraising strategy during a period of transition. Additionally, she dedicated efforts to support Croydon Commitment in curating a year-long series of events for 2024, highlighting her commitment to promoting community initiatives across Croydon.

Huge thanks to the incredible Stephen Robertson for leading a dynamic SWOT session, where we delved into our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

We’re running an Urgent Community Fundraising Appeal over the next few weeks in response to the cost-of-living crisis. This is because we are seeing an increase in requests for support from organisations tackling Poverty in London's communities.

🧡 Please help us raise £5000 to support more organisations doing vital work in London!

Our Skilled Volunteer service helps charitable organisations access the professional skills they need to do their work better and make a bigger impact in their community.

Currently, most of the organisations we work with are tackling Poverty, whether it be through community support, food banks, mental health, night shelter and homelessness, advice … The money we raise will help us support MORE organisations working to address the devastating effects of the cost-of-living crisis in their communities.
