💜 FROM JACK PETCHEY LEADERS AWARD TO PURPLE STUDIO GLOW-UP! 🎶✨

Thanks to funding from the Jack Petchey Leader Award that Keyanni received, we’ve been able to completely refresh our Purple Studio and get it ready for the next generation of creativity at PowerStation! 🙌

And in true PowerStation style… we didn’t just sit back and watch it happen. 😂 Staff and young people have been getting stuck in throughout — clearing, building, organising and putting their own stamp on the space. 💪🎨

The result? 👀

💜 A refreshed studio
🎤 A space ready for music & creativity
🙌 Built with young people, for young people

Due to building works, PowerStation Youth Club session are closed until Friday 18th September — but don’t panic… TEKKERS IS STILL ON! ⚽🔥

🎬⭐ AND THAT’S A WRAP… LITERALLY! ⭐🎬

Today we officially wrapped up our summer programme with a trip to Sky Studios 🎥🙌

And it’s safe to say… we’ve got some future SUPERSTARS in the mix 👀🌟

From stepping in front of the camera to getting creative behind the scenes, our young people created some seriously impressive horror film trailers 😱🎞️

Hollywood… you might want to start taking notes 😂👀

What a way to finish an incredible summer! ☀️💛

Today was our Second Annual Community Arts Day! 🎨

Tie-dye 👕 Bath salts 🛁 Graffiti 🎨 and, of course… PIZZA! 🍕

A day of creativity, colour, fun and a little bit of mess! 😂🌈

🌱 Wheelbarrows, veggies & VERY questionable chilli decisions 🌶️😂

A little trip to the community garden today involved…

💪 Some heavy lifting
🛞 Surprisingly impressive wheelbarrow skills
🥕 Straight-from-the-garden taste testing
🌶️ And finding out who seriously overestimated their chilli tolerance 😂🔥or who touched there eyes after chilli 🌶️ Spoiler alert 🚨 it’s was Danielle 😢

Grow it. Pick it. Taste it. Regret the chilli. 🤣🌱

But most importantly, it’s all about getting stuck in, learning together and helping look after a space that belongs to the whole community. 💚🌱 None of it would be possible without Barnes Common and Barnes Community Gardeners so Jude thank you for having us again.

💄✨ HAIR & BEAUTY DAY WOULDN’T BE THE SAME WITHOUT THEM! ✨💅

A HUGE shoutout to The Hygiene Bank, Twickenham for once again supporting our Annual Hair & Beauty Day! 🫶💜

Every year they help us stock up with makeup 💄, beauty supplies 💅, personal hygiene products 🧴 and loads more, giving young people the chance to try new things, learn new skills, build confidence ✨ and even take some essentials home with them 🛍️💖

But their support doesn’t stop when Hair & Beauty Day finishes… 💜🌟

Throughout the year, The Hygiene Bank, Twickenham continues to support PowerStation with sanitary products 🩷, toiletries 🚿, personal hygiene essentials 🧼 and even laundry pods 🧺 for the never-ending amount of washing we somehow produce! 😂🙌

From helping make special events possible 🎉 to quietly keeping us stocked with everyday essentials 🧴, their donations make a real difference to our young people all year round 💜 and help save us hundreds of 💷 so we can put more back into services for young people 👏✨

So a massive THANK YOU to the whole team at The Hygiene Bank, Twickenham for continuing to support PowerStation and our young people 💜🙏👏
