Huge thanks to our friend Derek from Skyrora for capturing these amazing shots of the Artemis rocket crawler at Kennedy Space Center, Florida! πŸš€

Fun facts: this giant Crawler-Transporter moves the rocket at just 1 mph when loaded, weighs 6 million pounds empty, and carries Artemis from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39Bβ€”a true feat of engineering!

Nasa is scheduled to send humans to the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years on Wednesday, marking the next step in its plans to establish a long-term presence on the lunar surface.

As well as observing the Moon and its environment, the mission will monitor the astronauts’ health to learn about the effects of deep space travel and to help protect people on future missions.
