🇫🇷 & 🇮🇹 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄 𝑻𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒍 will be completely closed to traffic for 15 weeks, from September 1, 2025, at 5 p.m. until December 12, 2025, at 5 p.m., to continue the structural renovation of its vault. This is part of a multi-year deep structural renovation. During this closure, drivers can use the Fréjus road tunnel as an alternative route.
When the Mont Blanc Tunnel is closed, the primary alternative route for HGVs is the Fréjus Road Tunnel. Drivers should also check for updates and alternative routes on the Mont-Blanc Tunnel's official website (www.tunnelmb.net) and the TMB Mobility app as conditions and closures can change.

𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐄𝐱 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, a professional driver with FedEx Freight from North Dakota, is the Bendix Grand Champion at the 2025 National Truck Driving & Step Van Championships.

Comings has been a professional driver for nearly 30 years, accumulating 3.1 million safe driving miles. He has competed three times in the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association state trucking championships and three times in the National Truck Driving Championships. In 2022 and 2023, he took first place in North Dakota’s 4-axle category. Last year, he took first place in North Dakota’s 5-axle category.

ATA’s National Truck Driving & Step Van Championships took place from Aug. 20-23 in Minneapolis, bringing together 425 drivers representing 56 companies from 49 states with a combined total of nearly 756 million accident-free miles.

The search for America’s best truck drivers is underway in Minneapolis!
From 20–23 August, the ATA’s Safety Management Council is hosting the National Truck Driving Championships & Step Van Driving Championships at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

🛻 425 drivers — including a record 15 women — are competing from 49 states and 56 companies. Together, they have driven an incredible 756 million accident-free miles! 👏

Drivers will be tested on:
✅ A rigorous written exam
✅ A detailed pre-trip inspection
✅ A demanding driving skills test with obstacles

📅 Finalists announced: Saturday morning
🏆 Grand Champion crowned: Saturday evening
