World Su***de Prevention Day is on 10 September.

In the weeks leading up to it, we’re sharing a four-part series with practical guidance from our How to Talk About Su***de guide.

Talking about su***de can feel difficult. It’s normal to feel unsure about what to say or to want to step in with solutions. Sometimes, what matters is simply being willing to listen without judgement and giving someone the space to share how they’re feeling.

Created by Ripple Su***de Prevention in collaboration with Zero Su***de Alliance, the guide brings together advice from su***de prevention experts and people with lived experience to help us approach these conversations with greater confidence, care and empathy.

We’re starting with how to open the conversation and some simple words that can help.

Take a look through the images. 💜

We’re proud to share that Alice Hendy MBE and David Savage will be speaking at Together Forward 2026, hosted by Ohio Su***de Prevention Foundation, on 1 September.

Their session, Digital Crisis Intervention and Ethical AI in Su***de Prevention, will explore how technology can support people at the moment of crisis, alongside the gaps that remain across search platforms and AI.

They’ll also share why safety, privacy and lived experience need to remain at the heart of technology designed for su***de prevention.

As Ripple Su***de Prevention continues to grow its reach in the US, opportunities like this help us build new connections, share what we’ve learned and make support accessible to more people.

We’re especially grateful to Tony Coder, Chief Executive Officer of Ohio Su***de Prevention Foundation, for the personal invitation to be part of the conference.

Join us online on 1 September.

Behind the energy of the hospitality industry are people working under relentless pressure.

In The Committed Chef, journalist Judit Sinkó shares an honest look at life in professional kitchens, drawing on her own experience in the industry and conversations with leading chefs.

The book features findings from the Mental Health and Su***de Risk in Hospitality Report 2024 by Ripple Su***de Prevention, helping to show how deeply mental health challenges are affecting people across the sector.

Talking openly about these realities helps reduce stigma, build understanding and make it easier for people to reach support.

An investigation by Metro and Ripple Su***de Prevention has found that UK users can still access a harmful su***de forum despite measures intended to block it.

The site can be reached within seconds using a VPN, while a mirror site on the dark web continues to make the same content available.

This shows how easily current restrictions can be bypassed. Ofcom’s jurisdiction must be extended so it can respond to VPN access and other routes that leave harmful su***de-related content within reach.

What is 💜?

32 people have shared that they are still here today because Ripple technology was there at a moment of crisis.

Led by Ryan Briggs and Ross Abbott, 💜 brings together people who want to help more organisations learn about Ripple technology and help save lives.

The challenge is simple: introduce the Ripple team to one organisation over the next 12 months.
That could be your workplace, a client or supplier, or a school, college, university or charity. Every introduction is an opportunity to help another organisation discover a new way to protect their people. If you'd like to join , we'd love to have you with us.
