Last Sunday, our very own R;pple FC took part in the Mental Health World Cup - and made it all the way to the semi-finals! 💜⚽

The tournament has a powerful story behind it. Founded in 2012 by brothers Giancarlo and Gianpiero Gaglione after losing their youngest brother Lanfranco to su***de, what began as a community kick-about has grown into a national event that supports mental health charities and stands against su***de through a beloved sport.

As our goalkeeper Callum Bassett put it:
“Today was bigger than football… 48 teams came together to raise awareness for mental health and su***de prevention.”
“The result mattered, but the message mattered more. Proud to be part of a day dedicated to hope, awareness, and reminding people they’re never alone. Conversations save lives.”

To every R;pple FC player who showed up and gave everything - you are amazing, and we’re so proud of you all! 💜💜💜

🎲 Financial stress. Distraction. Absenteeism.

These are things most of us notice in the workplace from time to time, but did you know they can be signs of gambling harms?

In reality, many managers wouldn’t recognise the warning signs. And for those who are struggling, shame, stigma or fear of judgement often means they don’t speak up.

That silence can have devastating consequences, with people experiencing gambling harms estimated to be 15 times more likely to die by su***de.

On June 2nd, together with , we’re hosting a live panel conversation about gambling harms in the workplace - how to spot the signs earlier, how to talk about it and how to better support people before they reach a crisis point.

🎙 Featuring Clarke Carlisle, Frankie Graham FRSA and Alice Hendy MBE

A partnership built on shared purpose from the very start. 💜

This year, 24 Agilio Software colleagues are once again taking on Ultra Challenges - the North Yorkshire Ultra in June and the Thames Path Ultra in September - aiming to raise £10,000 to support our work in su***de prevention.

It follows last year’s inspiring commitment, when the team raised over £15,000 completing the Peak District Ultra in extreme heat.

What stands out in speaking with Nikki Berryman, Steven Law and Angie Lyons is how personal this commitment is...

For Steve, it’s about the hope that no one is ever beyond reach. For Nikki, it’s about building a workplace culture where people genuinely look out for one another. For Angie, it started with hearing Alice Hendy MBE’s story - and staying with her ever since.

20 incredible people ran for Ripple Su***de Prevention at the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run on Sunday, raising more than £5,500 to support our work - and “thank you” hardly feels big enough. 💜

The team was led by John McGhee, alongside family, friends and former colleagues, all running in memory of his eldest son, Max, who lost his life to su***de in 2017.

John’s youngest son, Jack, also led a team on the day for Hope against Su***de, with both teams coming together in support of su***de prevention.

As John put it: “A brilliant day when so many special people came together to remember Max and raise money for incredible su***de prevention charities.”

We’re so grateful to the businesses that got behind the team: Catalyst R&D, ForrestBrown, Freyja Fitness and Willow Chiropractic – Nailsea.

To everyone who ran, donated or cheered from the sidelines: thank you for showing up for Max, for backing this team and for helping Ripple protection be there for people in their most vulnerable moments.
🙏💜

This Sunday, John McGhee and his son Jack will take on the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run to raise funds and awareness for su***de prevention - a cause close to their hearts.

John’s eldest son, and Jack’s brother, Max, died by su***de in 2017 while at university. In his memory, John and Jack will be joined by 33 runners, family, friends and former colleagues, taking part in both the 10k and half-marathon events.

The team has chosen to support two charities, with 10k runners raising funds for Ripple Su***de Prevention, and those taking on the half-marathon supporting Hope Against Su***de.

As John shares:
“Su***de is the biggest killer of men and women under 35 in the UK – and of men under 50 – and one university student in higher education dies every 2.5 days. Both Ripple Su***de Prevention and Hope Against Su***de are doing such amazing, important work and they’re equally deserving of our support, so we wanted to take this opportunity to help them both.”

If you can, please support John's run:

Every donation helps us reach more people with hope and the help they need. 💜

What a run 💜
55km, 898m of elevation in 8 hours… all for a cause that matters so much.

Last Sunday, Reece Searle took on an 8-hour Backyard Ultra at Easterner Castle, completing 8 loops of 6.7km and finishing an incredible 2nd place, with a moving time of 4 hours 44 minutes 👏

For Reece, this was about so much more than distance:

“I took on a Backyard Ultra as a mental battle - something to test whether I could keep going, and how far I could really push myself when it got tough. It’s not about distance as much as it is about mindset.”

Choosing to support Ripple Su***de Prevention was deeply personal:

“I had the chance to know of Josh through school, and like many, I’ve experienced loss through su***de and faced my own mental health struggles, alongside supporting others close to me who have too. Far too many people are affected by this, and the work Alice and Ripple are doing is genuinely life-saving. Raising awareness and supporting that work, even in a small way like this, feels important.”

Thank you, Reece, for turning this challenge into purpose and helping us reach more people with hope and support. 💜
