Everyone deserves to be paid fairly for their work, which is why is so important.

Professionals from working-class backgrounds are paid an average of 12% less per year than their more privileged counterparts in the same job. is the day when millions of working-class professionals effectively stop being paid for the year.

In real terms, those from working-class backgrounds are paid an average of £6,287 less than their privileged peers.

We’re joining the Social Mobility Foundation in urging the Government to introduce mandatory Class Pay Gap reporting for all large employers.

This will ensure they deliver on their commitment to remove the class ceiling and support the ambitions of the next generation.
