Today we celebrate St Clare of Assisi, a woman whose compassion and courage shone brightly in the lives of the poor and the sick.

Inspired by her friend St Francis, St Clare taught her Sisters to see Christ in every person, especially those who suffer or feel forgotten.

At St Francis Leprosy Guild, we carry that same spirit into our work with people affected by leprosy around the world — offering care, restoring dignity, and standing with those who need it most.

May St Clare inspire us all to serve with tenderness and hope.

On average 200,000 people are diagnosed each year.

Early diagnosis and treatment with Multidrug Therapy (MDT) - a proven combination of antibiotics - can stop leprosy in its tracks.

We are working to find cases faster, treat people sooner, and support those affected with dignity and care.
