Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

In the Sacred Heart of Jesus we recognise the source of our Hospitaller mission: a love that welcomes, heals and gives life.

May His compassion continue to guide our service to those who are most in need.

๐ŸŒฟ Care for our common home

Today, 11 June, we held an online talk with Michael Boyland on Laudato Sรญ, Green Plans and environmental responsibility in health and social care.

The session invited us to reflect on how care for people and care for creation are deeply connected, and how sustainability can become part of our Hospitaller mission in a practical and meaningful way.

A milestone for our mission in Liberia.

The English Delegation of Sisters Hospitallers is proud to celebrate the inauguration of the new mental health rehabilitation facility at St. Benedict Menni Mental Rehabilitation Centre in Monrovia.

This important project reflects our commitment to supporting people living with mental health challenges through compassionate care, dignity, recovery and community reintegration.

The inauguration brought together Sisters, healthcare professionals, Church leaders, partners, donors, families and members of the local community, all united by one shared purpose: to strengthen mental health care in Liberia.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped make this new facility possible.

Healing minds. Restoring lives. Building hope.

Across our centres, we celebrated this special anniversary with joy, gratitude and a strong sense of Hospitaller Family.

Today, we are pleased to share a selection of pictures from our celebrations in London and Addlestone, where residents, Sisters, staff and volunteers came together to mark 145 years of Hospitality.

These moments remind us that Hospitality is lived every day in our homes, through care, kindness, presence and community.

145 years of history.
145 years of care.
One mission still alive.

A new step forward for mental health care in Liberia.

The inauguration of the new rehabilitation facility at St. Benedict Menni Health Center, Monrovia, marks a moment of hope, dignity and healing for women experiencing mental illness and social exclusion.

As Sr Lourdes Sanz, Superior of our Delegation, shared during the opening ceremony:

โ€œEvery woman deserves dignity, care, and a chance to heal.โ€

Through prevention, rehabilitation, reintegration and recovery, Sisters Hospitallers continue creating spaces where healing can truly begin.

๐Ÿ“ฐ We are pleased to see the inauguration of the new rehabilitation facility at St. Benedict Menni Health Center in Liberia featured in the Liberian Observer.

This new space reflects our Hospitaller mission of accompanying people living with mental health conditions with dignity, compassion and hope, promoting recovery within the community.

A meaningful step forward in continuing to build places of care, inclusion and hospitality.

A modern mental health rehabilitation and reintegration facility, the Maria Augusta Center, will provide structured care in Liberia, emphasizing independence and personal responsibility.
