Xenia Women

Xenia Women We welcome all women and are working to build empathy and connections across differences Are you learning English? Do you speak fluent English?

Women from all walks of life are invited to come along and meet, connect and learn at Xenia. English language learners and women who are confident in English will participate in activities together, discovering the area, talking and forming relationships. At each workshop we use a different theme to enable conversations to flow and friendships to form. Come and make a friend, practice English, learn new things, and share your culture. Come and make a friend, practice whatever you want to, learn new things, and make London a more welcoming place. You are welcome to bring your children.

We had a fantastic time at our AGM today. It was really inspiring to hear stories about how Xenia impacts women who come, as well as launching our strategy, hearing from trustees and our colleagues from Xenia - and most importantly being together and shaping our organisation to represent the world we want to see.

More photos and reflections to follow but this image captures some of the joy in the room.

Thanks to Whitechapel Gallery for hosting us - it was great to be back 🧡

It's our AGM on Saturday!

It's a chance to reflect together on the past year at Xenia - think about our successes and the challenges we've had to overcome.

It's a chance to share our collective experience and our hopes for our organisation.

It's a chance to plan for the future - talk about sessions and activities we want to do together and ways to make our organisation stronger.

We hope you will come and join the conversation 😊

We are delighted to be back Whitechapel Gallery after a break over the summer. We will be upstairs in the Creative Studio.

We've allowed some extra time on Saturday so we start at 10am as usual but will finish at 1pm.

See you there 🧡🧡🧡

Everyone is welcome — whether you’ve been part of Xenia for years or you’re just getting to know us.

🏊‍♀️ Xenia Swim is well and truly underway again!

Our fourth cohort of Xenia swimmers is approaching the halfway point of ten lessons at Britannia Leisure Centre, running from September to November.

It’s inspiring to see the changes already — growing confidence in the water, new skills, and women talking about the difference swimming is making to their health and wellbeing. But just as importantly, there’s a lot of laughter and fun in the pool, as these Xenia mermaids demonstrate! 💦💙

A huge thank you to Britannia Leisure Centre and Better for supporting another cohort of Xenia women into the water.
