Stepney, you absolutely smashed it!! 💚🌧️

Apologies for the delay in sharing the stats from last Saturday’s litter pick - I was literally still speechless…

An incredible 18 volunteers showed exactly what Stepney’s Washwombles are made of. The rain didn’t stop - and neither did the bags coming in!

We welcomed 4 new volunteers (some even travelling all the way from Stratford 🙌), familiar faces reunited and that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

Together we collected an amazing 112.43kg of litter - filling 28 bags plus 16 NOS canisters 👏

As always, we wrapped it up with a cosy chat over hot drinks and some nice bikkies ☕🍪

Thank you, every single one of you - Stepney spirit at its best 💚✨

It’s a wrap 🎉 Our last litter pick of the year is in the bag.

Despite Christmas markets, festive prep and some rather suspicious weather, 16 fantastic volunteers - familiar faces and wonderful newcomers - came together one final time in 2025.

Together we collected an incredible 81.2kg of litter in 21 bags, 17 NOS canisters and even a pan, leaving Stepney that little bit greener and cleaner for Christmas 🎄

We rounded it all off with a cosy chat over hot drinks and delicious mince pies. Thank you everyone 💚

A big shoutout to for squeezing us in on a very busy Christmas market day - and for helping us save the gazebo from taking flight!

It’s been another fantastic litter pick last Saturday! 🌞 For our post-Halloween clean-up, the sun came out right on cue, giving us the perfect weather to roam through Stepney and chase away the litter 👟🗑️

What a turnout - so many great people, good chats and brilliant community spirit all around 🤗💪 From little helpers to seasoned pickers, everyone brought enthusiasm and smiles in equal measure 💚

Here are the stats… 📊👇
19 volunteers collected a whopping 163.65 kg of rubbish in 37 bin bags, a crazy 41 NOS canisters and even a wee dinosaur! 🦕♻️

A big thank you to everyone who joined and made it such a cheerful, productive morning 🙏

Already counting down to our next litter pick on 6 December, which will also be the day of the Farm’s Christmas Market! 🎄🎁 Can’t believe it’s that time of year again - time really flies when you’re… litter picking (I mean, having fun)! 😄
