The results are in for today's litter pick: 🥁🥁🥁

For our anniversary pick an amazing 37 volunteers joined us this morning. 💚

We welcomed lots of familiar faces and some new Stepney Wombles as well. 🤗

Together, we collected an incredible total of 143.91kg of rubbish in 41 bags, including 23 NOS canisters. 🥳🙌

We also ate lots of cake to celebrate 4 years of the Stepney Wombles. 🎉🎂

Thank you to everyone who helped to make Stepney a little bit cleaner and greener since 2022. You're all stars 🌟💚

We're gonna take a summer break in August, but will be back on 5th September. See you all soon 😊

Here are the results from yesterday’s litter pick 🥁

We had a brilliant turnout, with an amazing 31 volunteers joining us in the sunshine 💚

Some new faces, some impromptu farm festival visitors and lots of familiar ones too 🤗

Together we collected 97.45kg of litter across 41 bin bags, plus 27 NOS canisters - a whopping total of 137.95kg 🥳👏

Thank you everyone for helping make our neighbourhood that little bit cleaner and greener. Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday weekend! ❤️

Stepney, you absolutely smashed it!! 💚🌧️

Apologies for the delay in sharing the stats from last Saturday’s litter pick - I was literally still speechless…

An incredible 18 volunteers showed exactly what Stepney’s Washwombles are made of. The rain didn’t stop - and neither did the bags coming in!

We welcomed 4 new volunteers (some even travelling all the way from Stratford 🙌), familiar faces reunited and that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

Together we collected an amazing 112.43kg of litter - filling 28 bags plus 16 NOS canisters 👏

As always, we wrapped it up with a cosy chat over hot drinks and some nice bikkies ☕🍪

Thank you, every single one of you - Stepney spirit at its best 💚✨

It’s a wrap 🎉 Our last litter pick of the year is in the bag.

Despite Christmas markets, festive prep and some rather suspicious weather, 16 fantastic volunteers - familiar faces and wonderful newcomers - came together one final time in 2025.

Together we collected an incredible 81.2kg of litter in 21 bags, 17 NOS canisters and even a pan, leaving Stepney that little bit greener and cleaner for Christmas 🎄

We rounded it all off with a cosy chat over hot drinks and delicious mince pies. Thank you everyone 💚

A big shoutout to for squeezing us in on a very busy Christmas market day - and for helping us save the gazebo from taking flight!
