The Spellow is a library that reopened last year, offering support to individuals of all abilities in gaining education and finding a path to employment. It supported so many people and now they have burned it down to "save our children".

We will not be sharing the video circulating around because it is very triggering to see how prevalent racial violence is in UK and the failure of protecting black children.

It was relief to see how people from the local Ashford community and others from London have gathered outside Thomas Knyvett College following the circulation of the disturbing video.

* The school had a duty of care and they failed.
* The adults involved in a fight had a duty of care, common decency to stop the attack rather than engage and they failed.
* The passing members of public failed her

We need your help 💪🏿

While people from all communities and backgrounds do give blood, fewer than 5% of our blood donors who gave blood in the last year were from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.
This is despite black, Asian and minority ethnic communities representing around 14% of the population. 

Black, Asian and minority ethnic donors are specifically needed right now because:
* some patients who receive frequent blood transfusions need blood to be closely matched to their own
* a number of blood conditions, like sickle cell disease which is treated through blood transfusions, most commonly affect black, Asian and minority ethnic people
* the best match typically comes from blood donors from the same ethnic background.

Say his name CHRIS KABA 🗣

Chris Kaba (24) was unarmed, he was shot by the Met Police and killed with little to no explanation. There needs to be a public enquiry in relation to this tragic event. His family and friends deserve answers.

According to recent IOPC data. Black people in the UK are three times more likely to die following contact with the police, compared with their white counterparts. (Nadine White ✍🏿)

She is a student nurse who has been missing for a month yet the national media has barely reported her disappearance. She was last seen in Croydon on CCTV. Any leads can narrow the search. This situation is just part of a bigger picture of institutional racism and discrimination within policing. deserves more than an ‘apology’ from the Police, this reminds us how Black people are constantly dehumanised. Child Q represent one situation that is constantly replayed…in which young people of colour, Asians, and ethnic minorities continue to face disproportionate police.

On Monday, the Lord begun voting on the amendments added to the draconian Police, Crime and Commissioner bill. This bill has been dealt with on the streets through pressure and Protest. ⁣
⁣
Remember the PCSB could mean the police placing start and finish times on protests, or shutting down protests if they restrict access in and out of Parliament. Anyone who does not stick to these conditions could be fined £2,500. The bill could put marginalised people more at risk and it widens stop and search powers for police. These existing laws such as stop and search already discriminate against young black men, particularly in London. ⁣
