The new leader of Camden Council has given her first full length interview, talking about arriving in the UK as a refugee from civil war in Somalia, what inspired her to join the Labour party and her plans for her time in charge.

On the big developments, she said she understood why people treasured views from Hampstead Heath – but that she had seen the housing crisis first hand and the only way to get new homes was to build high.
