Will Rowlands has been in the park today scything the encroaching brambles, finding loads of dog balls, logs, bricks and litter. The improvement to that section of the park is tremendous.

Bramble cutting begins tomorrow - section between the pavilion and the back field.

We find that the tap has been broken off the water butt.
The doggy bar barrel completely emptied.

The water butt is there to assist with watering, no other reason, getting it refilled is a big operation, involving attaching a system of hoses from the allotments waiting while it fills and then dismantling all the hoses again

We cannot imagine anything finding pleasure in breaking it

Friends of Southwood Park are very proud of the MEMORIAL CURVE in the park. It's a lovely place to sit, talk, have a picnic.

But PLEASE, don't leave your litter, whichever way you leave the park you pass a litter bin, take your bottles, cans, packets, smoking paraphernalia away with you.
