We are back with FREE community gardening workshops at the lovely Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network garden. Running every Wednesday from 7th February to mid-March from 1-4pm and led by gardeners Charlene and Ruth, people can learn how to grow in small spaces, what to grow and when, how to start plants from seed, growing food and herbs, composting and more! These workshops are drop-in and free hot drinks and refreshments are provided.
To kick things off there will be a FREE community gardening talk and Q&A at Evelyn Community Centre on Wednesday 31st January at 1-3pm. Join the gardeners and hear from Julian from the Lewisham Park Herbal Plot on how a group of neighbours formed their own community garden and also from Grow Lewisham about the community gardens they run in the borough. Share your ideas for the garden at the LRMN centre and surrounding spaces on the Sayes Court Estate. No booking required.
This is part of a wider Sayes Court Garden Network project that is being delivered with community partners to hear how people would like to improve the green spaces in their area.
