The Work In... series is a set of free evening events at Citizen Hub Wimbledon. Each one focuses on a different sector: Hospitality & Food, Business & Finance, Sport & Leisure, Media & Marketing, Health & Care, Public Sector, Digital & Tech, Construction & Trades, and Creative Arts.
Here's what makes it different. No PowerPoint, no dull pull-up banners, no stiff panel-then-Q&A-then-go-home format. Just real people, real conversations. On every panel we've made sure to have a healthy mix, senior industry leaders who've been doing this for years, sitting alongside people who broke into the sector recently and can talk through exactly how they did it. So whether someone wants to hear from someone at the top or someone who was in their shoes two years ago, there's someone in the room for them.
After a short panel discussion, it's open mingling. People can grab a drink, talk one to one, ask the questions they wouldn't ask in front of a room, and walk away with real contacts, not just a leaflet.
Many of the people you work with, whether that's job seekers, young people, carers, new arrivals to the UK, or anyone looking for a way back into work, could benefit from this. It's free, relaxed, and open to all.
