CRASH is proud to support the transformation of Wakefield Hospice, helping to create a more welcoming and comforting environment for patients, families, and staff.

The project will deliver: 🛏️ 16 single-occupancy en-suite rooms, providing highly personalised and dignified care. 🫂 4 breakout areas, including 3 new multipurpose spaces and a transformed family room, offering enhanced spaces for patients and loved ones away from clinical settings.

We're delighted that valued Corporate Patron Dulux Decorator Centre has supported the project by supplying paint, helping to transform the look and feel of the hospice and create bright, welcoming spaces throughout the refurbishment.

It's fantastic to see partners coming together to support a project that will make a lasting difference to the local community.

Project Update: Centrepoint Outreach, Boston 💙
A big thank you to CRASH Corporate Patron Kingspan Insulation for supporting the Centrepoint Outreach redevelopment project with the delivery of insulation for the building's walls. 👏

This important contribution will help improve the thermal performance and energy efficiency of the building as it is transformed into a more welcoming, practical and sustainable space for clients, volunteers and staff.

Once complete, the redevelopment will provide enhanced facilities to support adults experiencing homelessness, including improved drop-in, interview and community spaces, helping Centrepoint Outreach expand its vital services across the local area.

As David McGarry prepares to step down as Trustee after five years of dedicated service to CRASH, and ahead of his retirement from Saint-Gobain at the end of October, we would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation.

David has brought invaluable insight, leadership and commitment to the Board throughout his time as a Trustee. His experience, thoughtful guidance and unwavering support have helped strengthen our organisation and its impact, leaving a lasting legacy that will benefit many for years to come.

We’re delighted to share the completed project at The Shakespeare Hospice, where an underused commercial kitchen has been transformed into a fully accessible, domestic-style community kitchen that will support patients, families, carers, volunteers and staff for years to come.

This fantastic project demonstrates the power of collaboration, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Corporate Patrons AECOM, Arcadis, Knauf, NG Bailey and Pascall+Watson for their expertise, generosity and commitment throughout the project.

A special thank you to Nimit Raval from Pascall+Watson for helping bring this vision to life, and to the incredible NG Bailey apprentices Lauren Taylor, Brooke Hyde and Keeley Checkley, whose contributions to this project are a great example of the positive impact the next generation of construction professionals can make.

Together, we've helped create a welcoming, inclusive space that will support connection, wellbeing and community at the heart of The Shakespeare Hospice.

A huge thank you to our Corporate Patron 8build for hosting another fantastic Supply Chain Golf Day in aid of CRASH! 🏌️‍♀️⛳

We're delighted to share that the event has already raised over £24,000, an incredible achievement that will help us continue creating places that care for people.

The day was a great success, bringing together supporters from across the industry for some friendly competition, networking and fundraising. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and donated, helping to make the event such a memorable and impactful occasion.

A special thank you to the directors and staff at 8build, particularly Jamie Taylor, Christine Kwok and Antoinette Gauci, for making the day such a success.

We would also like to thank everyone at Stock Brook Manor Golf Club for their warm hospitality and excellent service throughout the day, with a special mention to Jon Watts for his support. 👏

It was a pleasure for members of the CRASH Charity team, Trisha Pickersgill, Vipesh Mistry and Safiye Arayan, to visit the Altro Flooring factory recently and meet with Gemma Jeffry, Samantha Udeshi and Gemma Hart.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to thank Altro for its continued support of CRASH and to discuss opportunities for future collaboration that will make a lasting difference to homelessness charities and hospices across the UK.

During the tour, the team gained a fascinating insight into Altro's manufacturing processes, innovation and commitment to delivering high-quality flooring solutions across a range of sectors.

A huge thank you also to Richard Kahn and Sarah de los Rios for their introduction to the Altro Foundation, and the wider Altro team, for their warm welcome and ongoing commitment to CRASH. We look forward to continuing our partnership and working together on future initiatives.

Construction industry collaboration delivers lasting change at St Christopher’s Hospice

We're proud to celebrate the successful refurbishment of the inpatient wards at St Christopher's Hospice, helping create more welcoming, dignified and comfortable spaces for patients and their loved ones.

A huge thank you to the CRASH network of Corporate Patrons and Supporters who helped bring this project to life:

✅ Arcadis – project assessment, feasibility support and stakeholder engagement
✅ Dalkia – mechanical and electrical design services
✅ AECOM – structural engineering expertise
✅ Cundall – lighting design
✅ Dulux Trade – colour scheme expertise plus donated paint and decorating products
✅ Innova Care Concepts – principal contractor delivering the refurbishment works
✅ London Building Control – building regulations expertise
✅ Gardiner & Theobald – cost consultancy and budget management
✅ Black Architecture – architectural expertise and design support

Together, this collaboration delivered £188,566.41 of support, including a £75,000 grant from CRASH, helping St Christopher's maximise its investment and create spaces that are fit for the future.

The completed refurbishment has transformed three inpatient wards, delivering larger and more flexible rooms, essential infrastructure upgrades and a new hoist system, all designed to enhance patient comfort, dignity and care. Most importantly, it will help St Christopher's continue providing exceptional end-of-life care in calm, safe and homely surroundings for years to come.

A brilliant example of what can be achieved when the construction industry comes together to support charities delivering vital services in their communities. 💙

👏 Congratulations to Kingspan, CRASH's Corporate Patron of the Month for July!

We're delighted to recognise Kingspan for their outstanding support of CRASH, demonstrating how the construction industry can make a meaningful difference to charities supporting people experiencing homelessness and those receiving hospice care.

Since June 2025, Kingspan has contributed more than £45,000 through project support and fundraising initiatives, helping charities create safe, sustainable and welcoming spaces for the people who need them most.

With project donations in kind totalling £33,181 since July 2025, Kingspan's expertise, products and commitment have supported Emmaus Oxford, Centrepoint Outreach and Severn Hospice to improve their facilities, enhance energy efficiency and create environments that better serve their communities.

Partnerships like these show the incredible impact that can be achieved when businesses use their skills and resources to support causes that matter.
