Built on over 20 years of frontline experience across recording, songwriting, publishing, A&R, broadcasting and label ownership, Fox Music Consultancy supports artists, songwriters, producers, DJs and emerging creatives at every stage of their journey — from early development to established careers. The consultancy delivers practical, creator-first support across publishing and administration, including PRS/MCPS/PPL registration, catalogue organisation, royalty tracking, split management, demo development and rights education. Through established relationships with leading publishers, including Supreme Songs, Fox Music Consultancy also facilitates publishing and administration deals, helping writers navigate options with clarity, transparency and long-term sustainability in mind. Fox Music Consultancy is also an approved Arts Award Centre, enabling the delivery of recognised creative qualifications alongside industry-led learning. This allows young people and emerging artists to gain accreditation while developing real-world skills in songwriting, performance, production, DJing and music industry knowledge. Alongside one-to-one consultancy, Fox Music Consultancy curates and delivers industry panels, talks, workshops and programmes across the UK, regularly contributing to major events such as Brighton Music Conference and Leicester Music Conference, as well as regional music events, schools, colleges and community settings. Over the past year I’ve been quietly building something very special.

Through Fox Music Consultancy, we’ve brought together an incredible ambassador network from across the global music industry — from publishing leaders and platinum producers to pioneers of UK music culture.

After 20+ years in the music industry as an artist, songwriter and label owner, I created Fox Music Consultancy to help bridge the gap between emerging talent and the real music business.

Alongside my own career, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible producers and artists including Chucky Thompson (Mary J Blige, Notorious B.I.G.), Stargate (Rihanna, Beyoncé), MC Lyte, Juelz Santana, Biz Markie and members of 50 Cent’s team, with some exciting new songwriting collaborations set to be announced soon.

Our Founder, Gemma Fox, reflects on how different the music landscape was nearly 20 years ago…

Before streaming numbers, TikTok algorithms and digital distribution at your fingertips, building a career meant physically being present.

It meant:

• Pressing vinyl
• Selling records out the boot of your car
• Pirate radio sets at midnight
• Fighting for mic time at raves
• Hand-to-hand promo
• Building real-life street teams

Back then, there was no “upload and hope.”
There was graft. There was culture. There was community.

Rave culture wasn’t just parties — it was education. It was networking. It was freedom. It was where artists sharpened their craft in real time and built loyal followings face to face.

For Gemma, those early years in UK rave and bassline scenes shaped everything:

• Knowing your worth

It was an era where you learned quickly or got left behind — and that foundation is exactly why Fox Music Consultancy exists today.

This weekend Fox Music Consultancy attended the incredible Leicester Music Conference — and what a moment it was.

For the second year running, Gemma Fox sat on the BBC Introducing panel alongside Dean Jackson from BBC Introducing and Dr Yas, the founder from LMC.

The conversation focused on how BBC Introducing works as a platform for emerging artists — how to upload, how regional shows support new music, and how it can genuinely open doors nationally. We also opened the floor to a live Q&A with the public, keeping it transparent and real about the process.

Gemma also curated the Fox Music Consultancy Showcase, featuring two artists she is currently working with :

Both joined Gemma on the panel to share their own experiences and insights, giving artists in the room a real perspective from those actively building their journeys.

Busy, blessed and building 💫

This weekend Fox Music Consultancy attended the incredible Leicester Music Conference — and what a moment it was.

And Im back for a second year on the BBC Introducing’s panel at The Leicester Music Conference 2026, centred on Artist Development & Promotion. I have invited two guests & .artist

Host: Dean Jackson
Dean Jackson is a key driver in discovering and supporting new music across the area. He works with the national BBC Introducing team to give that music a wider platform on Radio 1, 1Xtra and 6Music and at many festivals including Glastonbury. Dean’s radio show The Beat has given very early exposure to many national and international artists such as The Killers, Coldplay, Tom Grennan, and dozens more. Dean has also served as a judge on the prestigious Mercury Music Prize Panel

Yasin El Ashrafi
Dr Yasin El Ashrafi BEM is a Leicester based mentor and entrepreneur, founder of HQ Recording Studio, HQ Familia and HQ CAN CIC, and creator of the Leicester Music Conference. Awarded a British Empire Medal and Honorary Doctorate, he supports emerging artists and champions diversity, mental health and sustainable careers across the UK music industry.

Gemma Fox
Gemma Fox is a multi-award-winning recording artist, songwriter, DJ and broadcaster, and one of the original Queens of UK Bassline and Grime. A defining force in UK R&B and underground culture for over 20 years, her debut single Girlfriend’s Story broke the UK Top 40 and earned a MOBO nomination and an Urban Music Award win. As an independent artist, label owner and respected topline songwriter, Gemma has generated 10M+ streams and 128 chart entries.

Faheem
Singer Songwriter and multi-genre soulful powerhouse from the UK who’s showing up and showing out, making sure everyone knows there’s a returning contender in town. Currently making waves in the UK’s underground dance music scene, Faheem is a promising and undoubted rising star – with a unique edge, vocal style, and ability to capture listeners from the first note.
