From the White Helmets’ first makeshift headquarters in Istanbul, to the Asfari Institute at AUB, to Madaniya’s more than 250 member organisations, to the Queen Elizabeth II Academy at Chatham House: 20 years of the Asfari Foundation has been 20 years of backing people who take responsibility for the future of their societies.
Thank you to every partner, trustee and member of our team who made last night, and these two decades, possible. The next chapter will ask a great deal of all of us. There is no one we would rather face it with.

من المقر المؤقت الأول لفرق الدفاع المدني السوري “الخوذ البيضاء” في إسطنبول، إلى معهد الأصفري للمجتمع المدني والمواطنة في الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت، إلى مدنيّة بأكثر من ٢٥٠ منظمة عضواً، إلى أكاديمية الملكة إليزابيث الثانية في تشاتام هاوس: كانت عشرون عاماً من مؤسسة الأصفري عشرين عاماً من دعم من يتحمّلون مسؤولية مستقبل مجتمعاتهم.
شكراً لكل شريك وعضو مجلس أمناء وفرد من فريقنا ساهم في إنجاح ليلة أمس، وهذين العقدين. الفصل القادم سيتطلب الكثير منا جميعاً، ولا نتمنى أن نواجهه إلا معكم.
