Completing the line up, we have Dr Jahangir Alom Ben 🥳

Dr Jahangir Alom is an award-winning emergency medicine doctor. He has worked with the UK Medical Schools Council and Health Education England (now NHS England) to improve widening participation in medicine.

Dr Jahangir is the Programme Director of an international charity, Selfless UK, which delivers evidence-based global health projects in rural Bangladesh. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jahangir was appointed to the Chief People Officer’s clinical advisory group and later joined NHS England as the National Clinical Lead for the Staff COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. He has spent a 4-year term on the British Medical Association’s (BMA) Council.

A familiar face indeed! We welcome as a Speaker at our More Than a Medic Conference!

Dr Emma Amoafo-Mensah is a consultant dermatologist in South West London. She is an alumnus of the prestigious Imperial College London, where she graduated with distinctions and a first class intercalated degree in Management in 2015.

Dr Emma is the founder of the , a non-profit organisation that provides a plattorm tor healthcare professionals to network, volunteer and learn.

Through the House of Medics, Dr Emma leads a mentorship scheme for students, particularly from under-represented backgrounds and runs community outreach projects to promote health and wellness amongst the public.

Abstract submissions should align with the conference theme of “More than a Medic” - embracing a diverse range of areas outside of but related to clinical medicine.

Submissions will be reviewed by the TAMS team, with accepted oral presentations to be presented during the conference  and accepted posters will be displayed during the conference.
