After ten years organising and ball-bashing with , the time has come to put down my mallet.

It has been an incredible club to be part of, with the Corned Beef Cup and End of the Road Festival being absolute peaks.

The club was begun by Miranda in 2010 and has brought people in East London and beyond together in parks and festivals for nearly 15 years.

But these things take a lot of organising behind the scenes and events don't just magically happen.

I simply no longer have the time to give to keep driving and organising the club, as other commitments now need to take priority.

As an all or nothing type of guy, I would never be able to just take a back seat.

Therefore on Friday I reached the decision to step down and leave the club to enable me to focus on other areas of my life.

Thank you to everyone who has come to play with us through the years. The memories will long-live within a hoop-shaped place in my heart.

Goodbye Croquet East!

IMPORTANT PLANNING EVENT - WE NEED YOU!

Please come along for a summer picnic in Mile End park to socialise, eat, drink, chat and plan the future of Croquet East!

https://www.meetup.com/croquet-east/events/303049393/

https://www.facebook.com/events/854308619716138/

The club is run by volunteers, but at the moment we now have no place to store our equipment and we need your help to decide what the club does next.

THERE WILL BE NO CROQUET AT THE PICNIC.

This is just a social where we will have discussions and a thought shower workshop for the year ahead. If it rains, we will go to the nearby Victoria pub.

Croquet East was established in 2010 and is an official croquet club. We are soon going to be joining the East Anglia Federation and will be entering a team into a league very soon.

There is so much we would like to do, but we can't do it without your support.

So if you love our club, please come along and help us. Thank you.

Thanks so much to those who came to our first away day at Enfield Croquet Club.

It rained, but we played and we learned.

We did stop shots, improved our technique, made connections and have made friends in Enfield.

will now be joining the East Anglia Croquet Federation and will be entering a team into a croquet league for the first time.

We are so excited this is finally happening! Thank you Miranda for starting this wonderful club all those years ago!

Hello, some people have said they would like to donate money to the club to help ensure our future.

We are looking for a new storage facility and also need some new equipment.

If you can help, please donate what you can here:

https://PayPal.me/croqueteast

Please choose friends and family so there is no fee.

Alternatively, our bank details are Croquet East 40-01-18 11873032.

Even Β£1 from everyone would make a difference.

There is no obligation as we are a free club, but hope you all appreciate that £££ will help.

Thanks so much!
