Save the date 📅 and come along on Sunday 29 November to Brockwell Hall’s antidote to Black Friday shopping, our Eco Fair ♻️🪴🫖✨

📣We are currently looking for market stall holders who are local, eco-forward and committed to sustainable methods of making. Our criteria are below:

🌿Fashion & textiles: upcycled clothes, vintage, deadstock fabrics, mending kits, or textiles artists

🌿Sustainable craft: Handmade homeware, natural skin/haircare, local art, jewellery, handmade gifts & trinkets

The fair features a mix of local artisan crafts, community stalls speaking on sustainability and climate action, a film screening, and a youth-led No Waste Fashion Show👗, it is something you don’t want to miss!

Please DM us 📩 or email [email protected] 📧 with a brief description of what you make/sell along with 2-3 photos.

A September recap from Brockwell Hall✨🍂

What a month! September kept us busy with events💃 and the introduction of new workshops as part of our weekly community programme.

From our new Craft Hour each Tue morning with to the buzzing Brockwell Bop and bustling Open House () tours to name just a few, the hall was abuzz with people.

We have even more exciting things coming next month so stayed tuned… we can’t wait for October🍂🪾🧡

The Prem Rawat Foundation TPRF

Back in August I had the absolute joy of running four days of workshops for , working with up to 20 children each day, from tiny toddlers to teenagers.

What I loved most was seeing all those different ages, personalities and ideas working together to create something as one.

This wasn’t just about grabbing a brush and painting.

They drew. They painted. They wrote. They shared ideas. They made decisions. They worked as a team. They expressed opinions. And they thought about what art actually means to them.

At the end, I brought all four days of work together into these final collaborative pieces.

The words you see — LOVE. SWEET LOVE. ART. PASSION. — came directly from the children, chosen from statements they had written during the workshops.

That is one of the things I love most about teaching art.

Yes, we make something beautiful.

But along the way they are also learning confidence, collaboration, expression, listening, freedom and that their own ideas have value.

I loved every minute of it. ❤️

📢Calling Lambeth/Southwark based fashion designers & textile artists🪡

Are you a young designer (18-25) based in Lambeth or Southwark eager to get involved in a community fashion show that puts sustainability at the forefront? If yes☑️, we’d love to showcase your work in the No Waste Fashion Show at our upcoming Eco Fair this November.

✨Criteria: garments/accessories must be made sustainably through an upcycling fashion, or using natural dying/eco printing with sustainable materials

📩Please email your submission including photos of existing pieces you would like to feature in the community fashion show, along with a small bio about the piece(s) and your work to [email protected] 📧
