Teenage Cancer Trust’s family support network gives mums, dads, brothers and sisters the chance to meet other people who understand their situation at every stage of the cancer journey and beyond. Research
We fund the country’s first Professor of Teenage Cancer Medicine who leads research into why young people get cancer and how best to treat it, ultimately improving diagnosis, treatment and survival rates. Education
Our education and awareness programme aims to educate every young person in the UK about cancer, prevention and healthy living, empowering them to take control of their own health. Find Your Sense of Tumour
Our annual conference is specifically for young people with cancer and gives them the chance to share experiences and learn more about their disease. Plus, 400 young people from all over the country in one place for a weekend…it’s pretty good fun too. International conference
We hold the world’s only conference focusing solely on cancer and the adolescent where experts from across the globe share information and research, helping to improve the lives of young people with cancer internationally. Medical courses
We fund courses for medical professionals at all levels, so they can improve how they treat young people with cancer.

💙 Running for Billy — and for young people like him💙

Billy is a sporty, active young man who loves football, rugby and anything that gets him moving! 🏉⚽️ So when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in July, not being able to play the sports he loves has been a huge adjustment.

Billy is now receiving treatment at QMC in Nottingham, where he has the support of our amazing Teenage Cancer Trust team. Our specialist staff understand what it’s like to be a young person with cancer and help Billy stay connected to the things that make him him 💙

Billy’s rugby club, West Bridgford Rugby Football Club, recently held a fantastic fundraising day to support Billy and Teenage Cancer Trust. 🏉💙 A huge thank you to everyone at the club and everyone who came along, donated and helped make the day such a success.

Now Billy’s parents, Ben and Rach, are taking on their own amazing sporting challenge — the Amsterdam Marathon — to raise even more money for Teenage Cancer Trust. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

They’re already nearly at an incredible £6,000 of their £7,500 target! 🎉

We’re so grateful for all the love, encouragement and generosity surrounding Billy. It’s a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together.

We’re looking for volunteers to join us at the Racecourse Media Group Race Day on 23rd October, supporting Teenage Cancer Trust.

Enjoy the racing first!
Then help us with a bucket collection from 4pm–6pm

Wear your TCT branded clothing and help us raise vital funds

It’s easy - simply man the racecourse exits, smile, shake those buckets and ask racegoers if they’d like to donate!

You’ll get to watch the races, before the collection with an e-ticket which we’ll sort out for you, so you can enter through any entrance.

So, if you’re free on 23rd October, why not come along, enjoy some racing and make a real difference to young people facing cancer?

🍎🐴 A very special Open Day in memory of Laurie Engel 💙

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Engel family for their incredible ongoing support of Teenage Cancer Trust and for continuing to keep Laurie’s memory alive through the Laurie Engel Fund.

On Sunday 27 September, 11am–4pm, Fair Oak C***r Mill will open its doors for a very special Open Day, celebrating Laurie’s life and the wonderful c***r-making heritage of the farm.

Laurie sadly passed away from cancer in 2005, aged just 13. In his memory, his family set up the Laurie Engel Fund in support of Teenage Cancer Trust. Since then, an incredible community of family, friends and supporters have raised more than £1.3 million through the Fund.

That generosity has helped provide special facilities and support to make life a little brighter for young people living with cancer. 💙

This year’s Open Day is a wonderful opportunity to remember and celebrate Laurie’s life, while also celebrating the beautiful Fair Oak C***r Mill.

💙 A huge thank you to Sian and Jaymee for taking on an incredible challenge to support Teenage Cancer Trust.

In November 2024, their world changed when Joel was diagnosed with a rare, fast-growing osteosarcoma in his left knee. What they thought was a skating injury became a journey of chemotherapy, surgery and unimaginable challenges.

Throughout Joel’s treatment, our team on Ward 27, including Lois and Lucy, were there to support Joel and his family every step of the way. Sian shared:

“Without the amazing and supportive team on Ward 27, including Lois and Lucy from Teenage Cancer Trust, I’m not sure how we would have managed. They were brilliant, always there to spend time chatting to us and explaining what was happening, especially with Joel — and I appreciate more than anything that they understood him.”

Now, inspired by the support Joel received, Sian and Jaymee are taking on an incredible cycling challenge — Land’s End to John O’Groats from Today to 2nd August 2026 — to raise vital funds so more young people facing cancer can access the specialist support they need.

Sian said:

“While Joel was undergoing surgery, I would sit in a room full of ways to raise money, then I read Sean Conway’s Land’s End to John O’Groats adventure and thought, I want to do that to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.”

We are incredibly grateful to Sian and Jaymee for turning their family’s experience into something that will help other young people and families facing cancer.

🎉 Huge congratulations to the incredible Liz Atkins! 🎉

In June, Liz celebrated her 80th birthday in the most extraordinary way imaginable – by walking all the way from London's Globe Theatre to the RSC in Stratford (sometimes known as Shakespeare's Way) alongside an amazing group of friends! 🚶‍♀️💜

Not only did Liz complete this incredible challenge, but she also smashed her fundraising target, raising vital funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone.

Liz has been a fantastic supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust for many years, alongside an incredible group of walkers who are all long-standing supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust. We're so grateful for their continued dedication, kindness and determination.

Liz truly leads by example, showing that age is no barrier to making a difference.

Thank you Liz and friends, for everything you do for young people with cancer. You're an absolute inspiration, and we're so proud to have you as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust family.

🚴‍♂️ 🚴‍♂️💜 What an incredible achievement! 💜🚴‍♂️

A huge THANK YOU to Adam for taking on an extraordinary challenge in support of Teenage Cancer Trust.

On 7th June, Adam set himself the daunting challenge of cycling an incredible 190 miles to Skegness and back. Not only did he complete the ride, but he absolutely smashed his target time of 17 hours, crossing the finish line in an astonishing 13 hours!

As if that wasn't impressive enough, Adam has also raised an amazing £3,381, massively exceeding his original fundraising target of £1,000. This phenomenal amount will make a real difference to the lives of young people facing cancer and is a true reflection of Adam's determination, generosity and the incredible support he has received.

A very special thank you also goes to his wife, Jemma, whose unwavering encouragement, support and dedication helped make this challenge possible. Behind every remarkable achievement is often someone cheering from the sidelines, and Jemma has been there every step of the way.

Adam and Jemma, we are truly inspired by your commitment and kindness. Thank you both for going above and beyond to support Teenage Cancer Trust. You should be immensely proud of what you have achieved together – you are absolute superstars! 🌟

💛 A huge thank you to Beth and the Composites Building team for taking on the Leicestershire Three Peaks Challenge in support of Teenage Cancer Trust!

The team completed the tough 16-mile route inspired by Caitlin, the daughter of one of their colleagues, who has shown incredible courage and strength throughout her three-year battle with cancer.

Thanks to their determination, fundraising efforts and the generosity of everyone who donated, they raised an amazing £3,130 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

The money raised will help us continue providing specialist care and support to young people with cancer and their families when they need it most.

From everyone at Teenage Cancer Trust, thank you for your incredible support. We are so grateful to Beth, the team, and everyone who helped make this fantastic achievement possible.
