💙 A huge thank you to Sian and Jaymee for taking on an incredible challenge to support Teenage Cancer Trust.

In November 2024, their world changed when Joel was diagnosed with a rare, fast-growing osteosarcoma in his left knee. What they thought was a skating injury became a journey of chemotherapy, surgery and unimaginable challenges.

Throughout Joel’s treatment, our team on Ward 27, including Lois and Lucy, were there to support Joel and his family every step of the way. Sian shared:

“Without the amazing and supportive team on Ward 27, including Lois and Lucy from Teenage Cancer Trust, I’m not sure how we would have managed. They were brilliant, always there to spend time chatting to us and explaining what was happening, especially with Joel — and I appreciate more than anything that they understood him.”

Now, inspired by the support Joel received, Sian and Jaymee are taking on an incredible cycling challenge — Land’s End to John O’Groats from Today to 2nd August 2026 — to raise vital funds so more young people facing cancer can access the specialist support they need.

Sian said:

“While Joel was undergoing surgery, I would sit in a room full of ways to raise money, then I read Sean Conway’s Land’s End to John O’Groats adventure and thought, I want to do that to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.”

We are incredibly grateful to Sian and Jaymee for turning their family’s experience into something that will help other young people and families facing cancer.

🎉 Huge congratulations to the incredible Liz Atkins! 🎉

In June, Liz celebrated her 80th birthday in the most extraordinary way imaginable – by walking all the way from London's Globe Theatre to the RSC in Stratford (sometimes known as Shakespeare's Way) alongside an amazing group of friends! 🚶‍♀️💜

Not only did Liz complete this incredible challenge, but she also smashed her fundraising target, raising vital funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone.

Liz has been a fantastic supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust for many years, alongside an incredible group of walkers who are all long-standing supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust. We're so grateful for their continued dedication, kindness and determination.



Liz truly leads by example, showing that age is no barrier to making a difference.

Thank you Liz and friends, for everything you do for young people with cancer. You're an absolute inspiration, and we're so proud to have you as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust family.

🚴‍♂️ 🚴‍♂️💜 What an incredible achievement! 💜🚴‍♂️

A huge THANK YOU to Adam for taking on an extraordinary challenge in support of Teenage Cancer Trust.

On 7th June, Adam set himself the daunting challenge of cycling an incredible 190 miles to Skegness and back. Not only did he complete the ride, but he absolutely smashed his target time of 17 hours, crossing the finish line in an astonishing 13 hours!

As if that wasn't impressive enough, Adam has also raised an amazing £3,381, massively exceeding his original fundraising target of £1,000. This phenomenal amount will make a real difference to the lives of young people facing cancer and is a true reflection of Adam's determination, generosity and the incredible support he has received.

A very special thank you also goes to his wife, Jemma, whose unwavering encouragement, support and dedication helped make this challenge possible. Behind every remarkable achievement is often someone cheering from the sidelines, and Jemma has been there every step of the way.

Adam and Jemma, we are truly inspired by your commitment and kindness. Thank you both for going above and beyond to support Teenage Cancer Trust. You should be immensely proud of what you have achieved together – you are absolute superstars! 🌟

💛 A huge thank you to Beth and the Composites Building team for taking on the Leicestershire Three Peaks Challenge in support of Teenage Cancer Trust!

The team completed the tough 16-mile route inspired by Caitlin, the daughter of one of their colleagues, who has shown incredible courage and strength throughout her three-year battle with cancer.

Thanks to their determination, fundraising efforts and the generosity of everyone who donated, they raised an amazing £3,130 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

The money raised will help us continue providing specialist care and support to young people with cancer and their families when they need it most.

From everyone at Teenage Cancer Trust, thank you for your incredible support. We are so grateful to Beth, the team, and everyone who helped make this fantastic achievement possible.

Together, you're helping us make sure no young person faces cancer alone. 💛

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Dave set himself an incredible challenge: to run 5K every single day for an entire year in support of Teenage Cancer Trust. And true to his word, he hasn't missed a single day.

When asked if it has been difficult, Dave said:

"I run every day no matter what. It's hard, but I can't have a day off. Young people with cancer don't get a day off, so I won't either. Supporting Teenage Cancer Trust is so important."

We are in awe of Dave's spirit, determination and commitment to such an important cause. His passion for the charity shines through in everything he does, and it's easy to see why he is so loved by both his team and customers.

Dave has now reached the halfway point of his challenge and will complete his final 5K on 27th November – his 50th birthday (although we all agree he definitely doesn't look it! 😉). To mark the occasion, he'll be running through Swadlincote alongside his wife.

The incredible Andertons Music Co. are raffling off a Tobias Bass Guitar that's been customised by Danny Sapko! They sent Danny the Tobais Killer B V 5-String Bass Guitar, which he then customised with his signature, before returning it to Andertons for a 4-String version. Rather than letting the bass gather dust, Andertons have kindly decided to raffle it off to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust!

Most people celebrate turning 80 with a cake… Liz is celebrating by walking from The Globe Theatre in London all the way to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon 🥾🎭



Starting on 22 May, Liz will be taking on Shakespeare’s Way with friends Drin Godshaw and John Plant — who is an incredible 87 years young! Together they’ll walk through London, along the Grand Union Canal, across the Chilterns and on to Stratford, arriving on Liz’s birthday, 5 June 🎉



Liz has supported Teenage Cancer Trust for many years and we honestly can’t thank her enough. Her energy, determination and kindness mean so much to us and to the young people we support.



Good luck Liz — we’ll all be cheering you on every step of the way 🌟👏
