𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬, 𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞

Since 2021, the ACT Bright Future Prize has supported inspirational young people on a mission to make a difference – and which has already invested £250,000 in 59 community leaders of the future. 💫

A winner in 2025, Jarvis set about turning his bright idea for a youth music festival into a reality – and which came to fruition just a year later when Tor-VYBZ Festival took over the Torquay seafront on 18 July for a whole day of performances by young musicians. 🎵

Over the past few years, Jarvis, 21, has worked closely with ,who harness music and creativity to give local young people a means to develop skills and confidence

The idea of Tor-VYBZ Festival was the next big step, with Jarvis aiming to establish an annual festival and the first of its kind in the area.

A truly grassroots event, every aspect of planning Tor-VYBZ was led by Jarvis and a collective of over 40 young people, from the performances to the event management.

The festival is more than its performances; it’s also a means for young people to be seen, be heard, and take their first steps in the industry, whether that’s at the mic or backstage.

We can’t wait to see it back – and no doubt even bigger and better – in 2027! 🌟

ACT : On Tour and on the road…!

Over May and June, our Group charity, ACT went on journey like never before, taking its travelling exhibition, ACT : On Tour, directly to colleagues on a very special green double-decker bus. 🚌

ACT : On Tour is a curated showcase that brings to life just some of the countless stories, causes and impact of the Trust’s nine-year history through objects, media, music and art.

What began as an exhibition event in central London in 2025 is making its way in different forms across the Group, and the world, over 2026.

In the UK and Ireland, ACT hit the road quite literally, with the exhibition taking a seven-week trip visiting 18 locations across Everywhen, Ardonagh Analytics Lab and Arachas Corporate Brokers Ltd - culminating in Dublin.

Next, ACT takes its exhibition to Ardonagh Europe, MDS Group and Envest as the global tour continues, encouraging all our people to harness ACT to give back bigger over their time as part of Ardonagh.

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶

With 2026 marking the fifth anniversary of Bright Future, it felt like a fantastic chance for ACT to offer a special chance to empower the ongoing development of our Alumni.

The ‘Next Step’ fund provided the chance for former winners, finalists and grant recipients to achieve a share of £10,000 to invest in their project – whether a continuation of an original bright idea, a spin-off, or a new project that aims to do good.

After much deliberation, our ACT Trustees selected the two deserving winners.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼…

🌟𝗝𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗿, 𝗨𝗞
Jarvis has relentlessly pursued his ambitions to harness music as a means to elevate the aspirations of young people.

With Sound Communities CIC, Jarvis has spearheaded TorVYBZ, a totally youth-led music festival and first of its kind in the local area.

This sentiment is at the heart of Jarvis’s winning proposal, which is all about extending the ripple effect of TorVYBZ to create long-lasting impact. The ‘Creative Pathways Blueprint’ will provide a framework to extend the festival itself into a year-round programme to develop young people with dreams of working in the world of music.

🌟𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗸 𝗔𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗹, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮

Kanishk epitomises entrepreneurial spirit. Often found at the soldering bench, his passion for bringing together engineering with healthcare application is unstoppable.

His rapid upskilling shows no sign of slowing down and Kanishk’s winning idea introduce Myodot, a wearable device which tracks neuromuscular activity to support people with a range of conditions.

Currently in its early stages of prototyping, the funding will enable Kanishk to accelerate its build and testing so it can reach healthcare professionals sooner – helping clinicians monitor recovery in real-time to ensure rehabilitation treatment is as effective as possible.

Revealing our 2026 Bright Future Prize winners

Since 2021, we’ve searched the world for young entrepreneurs on a mission to do good, investing in their project ideas to make a difference to the communities and world around them.💫

2026 marks the fifth anniversary of the prize, and with submissions coming in from right across the globe, ACT’s board of trustees have selected the winners of each of the four prize categories, with the incredible shortlist of finalists representing Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore and the UK.

Many congratulations to our fantastic winners, who each receive £10,000 to invest in their bright ideas, plus our finalists who are also awarded Bright Future grants to get behind their ambitions.

✨We are at the end of our Bright Future Prize 2026 finalists showcase!✨

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve met the young leaders behind our shortlist, who are all spearheading their own projects to make a difference and are each in with a chance of winning a share of £40,000 to back their grass-roots passion projects.

Lastly we travel to Brazil to meet João.

At the core of João’s project, Pre Parei (“Prepared”) is a desire to tailor digital learning content to a student’s individual needs.

Even better, João wants to make his online content accessible to rural communities where power can be intermittent by making the most of solar panels to ensure uninterrupted connection to the internet.

Together, this hybrid approach means that Pre Parei ensures young people in vulnerable communities in Brazil can get the quality education they deserve.

Next up, we head over Singapore to meet Santusht, who is passionate about all things sustainability.

Despite a bustling food culture, behind the scenes much of the waste from restaurants and eateries is not disposed of with sustainability in mind – and which has led him to develop Waste Fellows.

Alongside Young Founders’ Summit in Singapore, what began as a small-scale experiment on breakfast waste has turned into a project which closes the loop on food production.

By engaging with local farms and restaurants, the initiative recoups value from waste by collecting food waste and then processes it into fertiliser to go back into food production, protecting the planet and supporting industry in one!

Next up, we head over to Essex in the UK to catch up with Gwen, who is harnessing her technical know-how and experience as a disabled person to support others to live a full and independent life.

Preparing meals is a task often taken for granted, but for some this presents a challenge with recipes not considering additional needs, whether that’s sensory tolerance, eyesight, physical ability, or neurodivergence.

This is why Gwen has developed Spoonfullness – an app with independent living at its core. Spoonfullness considers accessibility at every step, from its interface with adjustable display options, recipe filters that take into account sensory needs, and cooking methods tailored to varying physical needs.

Gwen understands the immense difference being able to cook can have on agency and choice, and Spoonfulness takes on an essential part of daily life that can help many others care for themselves with confidence.

Through the Bright Future Prize, we search for young people spearheading passion projects to do good – with £40,000 waiting to be won to take their bright ideas to the next level.

Today we hear from Aditya in Leiria, Portugal, a passionate problem solver who aims to use environmental robotics to help communities protect their waterways.

Aditya has used his technological prowess to develop Rowbot, a semi-autonomous buoy that monitors water quality in real time to collect data which can be used to make decisions to look after rivers, lakes and more.

Even better, his technology interacts to create a network of buoys, meaning action can be taken at an even larger scale to really make an impact.

Next up we head over to the UK to hear from Murphy who is on a mission to help more students like him make tracks with their career aspirations.

University can feel like the only route to get that first job outside of education. However, for many alternative routes could be a fantastic option – which is where placements can be incredibly important.

Murphy himself has seen young people struggle to access apprenticeships due to a lack of work experience, so he’s tackling this head on through his student-led digital platform, Gradify.

An app and website, Gradify aims to help young people access work placements, networking events and insight days. He initially developed the app in just a month – and just four months after that had almost 1,000 users. Now, he wants to further build the app and expand to more schools in Kent.

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀!

We’re delighted to kickstart our 2026 finalists showcase! Over the next few weeks, get to know our eight inspirational finalists a little better. ✨

Their bright ideas to make a difference might vary, but all share a common determination to make a positive impact on the world around them – and all are in with a chance of winning a share of £40,000 to take their ambitions to the next level.

First up we say kia ora koutou katoa to Rosalie from New Zealand (a warm and inclusive Māori greeting apt for Rosalie’s bright idea!).

A lyricist, musician and creator, Rosalie uses song to capture the spirit of two cultures close to her roots – Ni Vanuatu Pasifika and Māori.

Using song, she aims to inspire young people in the community to preserve and connect one another and their heritage, with her music exploring themes of identity, culture and belonging in Aotearoa.

The music is a form of collective activism, with each song conveying a different story related to New Zealand or the Pacific.
