🌸 **Learning Gujarati, One Sentence at a Time!** 🇮🇳📚

Our children at **Tooting BalSanskar Group** had a lovely time learning simple Gujarati sentences in our latest language class.

The children listened carefully as their teacher read each sentence aloud and then repeated it with great enthusiasm.
But the highlight of the session? Hearing Gujarati spoken with a British accent! by some of our children...😄🇬🇧

The children thoroughly enjoyed it and were quick to offer a few pronunciation corrections of their own — all in the most positive and encouraging way. Our little children certainly made their voices heard! 😂👏

It was wonderful to see everyone learning together, having a laugh and gaining confidence in speaking Gujarati. After all, learning our mother tongue should be fun, and a few giggles along the way make it even better!

🙏 As always, the lesson began with **Manglacharan Prayer** and ended with **Ashray Nu Pad**, keeping our prayers, traditions and values at the heart of the session.

🍛 The evening concluded with a delicious vegetarian dinner, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat and enjoy time together.

💐 **A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers** for their time, dedication and continued support. Your efforts help us pass on our language, culture and sanskars to the next generation.

Shraddh is a sacred Hindu tradition in which we remember and honour our ancestors — our great-grandparents, grandparents and generations who came before us. ❤️

🙏🏼 **Why do we observe Shraddh?**

We express gratitude for our ancestors’ love, sacrifices, values and blessings that have shaped our lives and families.

🪷 **What is Tarpan?**

Tarpan is a traditional ritual of offering water to our ancestors as a symbol of love, respect, remembrance and gratitude.

🌱 **What do children learn from Shraddh?**

❤️ Gratitude towards those who came before us.
🪔 Respect for our elders and family traditions.
📿 Understanding our Hindu rituals and spiritual values.
🌸 Preserving our culture and passing our heritage to future generations.

✨ **A message for our children:** Our ancestors live on through the values they taught us and the traditions we continue. By remembering them with love and respect, we honour our roots and keep their legacy alive.

🙏🏼 May our ancestors be remembered with reverence, and may Shree Thakorji bless all our families with peace, happiness and well-being.

🌸💃 TOOTING BALSANSKAR GROUP – GARBA WORKSHOP 🕺🌸
✨ Treasuring Our Culture, Rich Heritage & Traditions in the UK ✨

What a wonderful and memorable Garba Workshop it was! 🎉❤️

Our workshop began with the beautiful fundamentals of traditional Garba, introducing our young learners to the rhythm, coordination and joy of:

🔹 2 Taali Garba
🔹 3 Taali Garba
🔹 4-Step Garba
🔹 6-Step Garba
🔹 Dodhiyu and other traditional Garba styles

Our dedicated teacher, Archie Mehta, gave her time, energy and passion wholeheartedly to our children. With her grace, style, patience and expertise, she guided the young participants through each movement, helping them build confidence, rhythm and expression as they prepare for the upcoming Navratri celebrations. 🌺💃

For us, Garba is much more than just dance — it is a beautiful way of passing our culture, heritage and traditions from one generation to the next, while keeping our roots alive here in the UK. 🇬🇧❤️🇮🇳

🙏 Our heartfelt thanks to every child who participated with such enthusiasm, to all the parents for their continued encouragement, and to our wonderful volunteers and entire Tooting BalSanskar Group team for their dedication and support.
