Almas Art Foundation UK Almas Arts Foundation, a charity highlighting the work of African/ Diaspora Artists in their development of Modern Contemporary African Art.

AAF shines a light on the work developed by established African/ diaspora artists, telling their stories about who they are, where they come from alongside the challenges they faced and influences gained from their surroundings. These are aspects often not captured, lost and forgotten, AAF are seeking to capture these artists' stories as they shape, mould and develop younger and future artists acr

oss the African continent, through the development and publication of a series of retrospectives. Africa has the biggest source of young mid-career contemporary artists with AAF providing access to art materials which are often in short supply, alongside facilitating residency programmes connecting mid-career artists to their counterparts across the international art community; creating spaces for collaboration, growth and creativity. In advancing both the education and enjoyment of modern contemporary African art and culture; AAF in partnership with universities, galleries and institutions are working to preserve the contributions made by African/ diaspora artists through digitization; thus preserving the legacy of modern contemporary art for African art scholars and international art community.
