You may already be familiar with what happens here at The Lighthouse & Gardens, but if you’re curious to find out more, or want to introduce someone new to the space, we’re taking part in this year’s Open City

You’ll also be able to experience plans for the future through augmented reality, bringing the vision for the site to life.

Alongside the tours, join us for a FREE Garden Harvest Celebration, with family activities, creative workshops, a BBQ featuring produce grown in the gardens, and fresh mint tea. 🌿

What a wonderful day! 🌻🌞

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in the gardens last Saturday. It was such a joy to see people of all ages relaxing together, connecting through creativity, and enjoying Pilates, circle dancing, sound bathing and massage in the sunshine.

A few lovely words from the day:

The circle dancing even attracted applause and waves from residents watching from their balconies next door!

For everyone who enjoyed the circle dancing, you'll be pleased to know that Julia will be leading a new Circle Dancing course at the Mary Ward Centre this autumn. If you've been inspired to give it a go, we'd highly recommend booking a place! While you're there, do take a look at the many other fantastic courses on offer this autumn term.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Julia from Mary Ward Centre to The LightHouse &Community Gardens, where she’ll be leading FREE Circle Dancing sessions as part of the afternoon of wellbeing, creativity and community.

💃 FREE Circle Dancing Sessions
• Session 1: 3:10–3:50pm (Community Gardens)
• Session 2: 4:20–5:00pm (Community Gardens)

No previous dance experience is needed - these sessions are open to all ages and everyone is welcome. The dances are simple, easy to learn and guided by Julia, making them a fun and accessible way to enjoy movement, music and connection.

Enjoy beautiful, evocative music and circle dances inspired by cultures from around the world. The sessions focus on coordination, flow, relaxation and, most importantly, having fun together. ✨

Want to keep dancing? Julia also runs a 12-week Circle Dances from Around the World course at Mary Ward Centre on Stratford high street. Find out more on the Mary Ward Centre website.
